I think the qeustion now is does Pep still consider playing him solely to give him minutes or does he now consider Phil as a player who can offer things other players can’t?

For me, he’s still at the stage where we play him to give him minutes (ie for his benefit) rather than playing him to give us another option (for the benefit of the team, short term anyway). Definitely not far off being a regular first team option though especially with David Silva being the age he is.

KDB is still injured. Even with Silva's age.....Bernardo and KDB will be ahead of him.

Can’t see him making the bench for the next few games now KDB is back, which makes it even more frustrating that he only got 2 minutes at the weekend. As I said in the Gundogan thread, it’s frustrating that Gundogan gets chance after chance in the starting line up (and I’m not a Gundogan hater by any means) but Pep still won’t pull the trigger and start Foden in the league or a meaningful CL match.

Owen,rooney,torres,we all want to see phil but he could not be in better hands or at a better club for his developent,they have all the technology to monitor his growth etc,we just have fans bleating

And we’re the best club for his development because.....

He’s played 76 minutes of league football in total (almost all of which was when games were dead and there was no pressure) and yet when anyone suggests he should have played more you get the same old tired excuses.
