The silver lining to the KDB news. Means Foden will undoubtedly get more opportunities. He'd have probably missed out on the bench spot when Gundogan came back. He's still got a strong chance of being involved now for the next 5 weeks or so.

He should play more. Honestly Phil offers more than Gundogan and impacts the game in a much bigger way. I said before the end of the season I expect Phil to jump in front of Ilkay.

Would love to see Foden start against Shakhtar for example.
 
I don't think there's a Premier League game where I'd be worried about him starting if there was an injury crisis or something, or Pep just chucked him. You can tell he's years ahead of his age and his teammates trust him completely.

Agreed. He's not at the level of the Silvas or KDB (yet) obviously, so maybe wouldn't offer their level, but he's still clearly already a very good midfielder. One better technically than most in the league, which is crazy given his age.
 
We have one of he best young players in Europe and I think he’s ready to be starting more games now. Hea lacking match sharpness at times in my opinion, but some of his play especially that slight turn/ shoulder drop he did last night were brilliant
 
Love that even when he comes on for just 15-20 minutes you can see glimpses of what makes him so special. I think he'll be handed a few starts as the fixtures start piling up next month. Especially in home games, no reason he can't start against the bottom half teams.
