£12/week was what Foden’s contract was when he first signed the newest one he’s signed, which was his original first ever first team contract.

I don’t know if that was £12/week in the first year and staggered up year by year (do they even work like that?)… but it was definehely only £12/week when he signed it.

And his basic is only currently £12k/week. He’s obviously a patient fella! Dare I say, not a money driven player?
I'd be amazed if he's "only" on 12k per week. One of the country's brightest young talents, and an established member of the first team squad for the last 5 or 6 years.

Not saying he isn't, by the way. I have no idea what he's actually on, just offering my tuppenn'orth.

He’ll definitely be getting playing and achievement bonuses on top of that.

Which, as someone else said earlier that he’s only on £12k a week, he’s running the risk of missing out on a lot of money. He could flop at the World Cup or even worse, get badly injured.

Players do use the Workd cup to showcase their talents, but it’s generally the unknown ones that do best from it, not the ones already at elite clubs.
Think we’re splitting hairs ere fella, I only disagree with the fact you think he’d need to leverage a move for a better pay packet, the club would intimate there is no need for that (as they’ve done with others) more likely we are preparing a sort of contract for life, but keeping it at six years to protect both parties, with incremental rises every two years & possible extensions, along with some tidy bonuses for CL wins/balon dors etc
