Phil Foden to leave England camp

Not heard or read of 1 person questioning the set up of the England camp/hotel set up,he is our player handed over to England to be nurtured & taken care of, this would not of happened if it where a City pre season tour, definitely a mistake to allow two young lads to room together on their England debuts, that alone is an opportunity for stewardship by a senior player, if it transpires they visited another part of the hotel then that is also down to bad planning by the FA, this is a billion pound squad during a pandemic where is the security? I take it this didn’t happen in the wee hours as no curfew was broken, come on people This is the FA we are talking about!
The security issue will have to be resolved at some point. Though it looks like the players were sealed off in their own area of the hotel and they left it to visit another part of the hotel (probably a different floor) where they met the girls. Hard to stop that happening. I wonder what their teammates think about it. I suspect they have little sympathy. They are all professional athletes who don't want to risk the possible long-term effects of Covid.

I'm so disappointed with Foden for this. He's been dropped and set home and rightly so.
Had his chance and blew it...for now.

There wasn’t a worldwide pandemic when they were with the u21s, that’s the crux of the matter
I’m not defending their actions. I’m questioning why people think it’s unacceptable for two young players to room together when they’ve probably been doing it for the past 3 years at England youth level.

They’ve made a mistake and will have to accept what comes their way but to suggest this only happened because they roomed together is wrong. Maybe Phil should have been put with Walker and Greenwood with Grealish

Ha yeah, fair enough pal.

Not even angry (or necessarily surprised), just incredibly disappointed.

He is young, and will make mistakes, but given the current pandemic, social/media scrutiny, recent England camp breaches (which he will have absolutely been briefed on given it involved Kyle), and this being his first call up, he is a monumental moron for doing this.

He knows better.
