Phil Foden to leave England camp

This is extremely low and out of character for a player who's biggest season is coming up. Massive news getting called up and he's done this. Hopefully just learns and moves from it quick.

if that’s right then what’s the point in a bubble ?
The original "bubbles" were so that football could restart, for our players they ended once we lost to lyon, and they went on holidays. New "bubbles" started last week for those in international squads, so those players could travel together across international borders without having to isolate like the rest of us do (depending where you have been obviously).

I'm sure there will still be regulations to follow once the new season kicks off, but we can't expect a whole squad to live in a bubble for a whole season, so it will be more open, but for their own sakes (and those of their families) you'd expect them to continue to be very cautious.

Lets be honest here Kyle walker rightly got stick and deserved all of it. Phil Foden is no different and very disappointed in the sense he gets he gets his first call up and embarrasses himself and our club. I know David Silva was a phenomenal player but off the pitch you never heard a word about him. Just hoping Phil Foden wont get cocky and big headed with all the fame so young.Very good lesson for him this and he needs to learn fast!

It appears he might have, if the fact that the Iceland police have commented on it is anything to go by.

I don't know exactly what level of lockdown Iceland is in, to be fair if he has broken local laws i'd consider it worse.

It's still not as bad as his own teammates have done in lockdown, not to mention Members of Parliament. There's no need to draw and quarter them. They fucked up, have been punished appropriately, move on and learn from it.

You'd think if you'd just been called up for your first ever England cap you might be minded to follow the rules. Its unbelievable really that he thought he could break them.

It's a very stupid thing to do. Hopefully it won't knock how he plays for City but if I were Southgate I would think of dropping him for a while.

Footballers in having no brains shocker. Been happening for decades its just happening more to us now because we have world class, quality players who played everywhere and for the International team.

Gary Flitcroft shagging the barmaid from the Duck and Swan, on a Tuesday afternoon after training wasn't really newsworthy.

Get your head screwed on Phil and grow up.

Oh and the Gary Flitcroft story is totally true (allegedly)

phil’s got to come out of this fighting on the pitch. I can see Pep being very hard on him, especially if he now has to self isolate for 14 days rendering him unavailable for the season opener.
I can see game time being hard for him to find for the first few weeks.

I have full faith that Phil will never let this happen again and will stay away from those bad influences over the road.

The highest penalty is a fine of a few thousand pounds. I'm not condoning the behavior but it's nothing from a legal perspective.
