It's a very high bar we set for our midfielders here at City. The likes of Berbardo and Gundogan are currently only rotational players showing that competition is fierce but we do tend to overload on such players so minutes on the pitch are attainable for players with the necessary quality.
Foden has every chance IMO.
He is at the perfect club to thrive. His local status and support for us from year dot plus his exceptional close control and fast football brain are just the sort of assets he will need.
A bit disappointed to hear that he got a bit pissed in public but Pep is usually OK with that sort of thing so long as it doesn't impact on his gameday performance.
