Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Fortunately, his first or second touch is a goal.

As opposed to Bony's which is a tackle.

Who gives a rat's ass?

Personally, I think Pep will convert him as a direct running wide attacker, same as Bale. We will see Sterling then switch to the right-hand side, so he's less dependent on having to stop and come inside and pass the proverbial buck.

Much more direct, a three who can also be slipped in on goal, courtesy of KDB or Silva.

More Real Madrid than Barcelona-esque, which is ironic.
OK TH but where does all this leave Kelechi in the grand scheme of things?

Not sure he ever became the top scorer, but he was at least close to it.
Yeah he was. He joined us half way thru the season, but he was top the 09-10 with 22 goals.he was player of the season 08-09 when he scored 26 goals but I believe was 2 behind his teammate Grafitte who got 28. Then won it himself the next year with 22.

Jeremy s crystal balls said no to aubameyang. So will be interesting to see what happens from an ITK battle!

Let me take a stab at this :)

Default
Starters: Auba.....Kun.... Sterling:
Backups: Kelechi, Navas

Situation and Solution:
Kun out for normal league game (say Stoke or even West Ham)
= Auba...Kelechi... Sterling
Same Scenario but against United or Juve
= DeBryune.... Auba.....Sterling

Situation
Normal game
Auba misses a game:
Sterling.... Kun.....Navas: Kelechi 1st bench option of
Big game
Silva....Kun...Sterling: Kelechi Same as above

Situation
Sterling misses a game:
Normal game
Auba...Kun....Navas: Kelechi first off bench for attack
Big game:
Auba... Kun...DeBryune (Silva at 10): Kelechi first off bench.

While Auba will improve our scoring, I don't think his role will change if Kun goes down. I think Kelechi is Kuns backup. Auba will interchange with whoever the starting striker is from his left wide position. But I sense that will be his primary position regardless of what happens centrally.

really hope this one gets over the line. i think the intensity that pep will bring combined with competition for a place could take Aguero to the next level

seems like everything was going smoothly without public knowing and the agent blabbed that they were close. He probably shouldn't have done that!

If it was to open up an auction then we might have a problem but it could alternatively be to soften up Dortmund's stance.

We'll have to wait and see.

sort of a shame, would have been an incredible statement of intent (it still will be even if it happens in the next few weeks) if all of a sudden it was done and dusted, interview on the OS, shirts for pre-order etc. Doesn't sound like either club has been happy that this got out.

2nd time in a few months. Either it's the kind of story that follows high profile players, or he's got an agent who wants to create a market for his player.

If we do sign Aubameyang, we should also try to bring in Aubameying. Y'know..? For balance..?

I'll leave my coat, tis nice out. :-)

Again his brother is his agent and if you look at Auba's last 2 Instagram posts looks like they were partying together in 1 pic, even using the hashtag #agent then the very next pic is him thinking using the think bubble emoji as a caption. Brother probably got excited about the potential move lol.
