According to AntMCFC and a few of those who were agreeing the other day, Pirlo is an attacking midfielder and shit.

Either way, if he's up for grabs, we will absolutely go in for him. He's the final piece of the Mancini jigsaw and will replace De Jong.

lol what

Excellent contribution.

If you didn't happen to catch the thread, the entire point was that he isn't De Jong but is much more expansive .

For the record, Iknow almost as much about Milan and its players as Ido with City. When Im not spending my time here, I frequent the Milan forums. Ive had a thing about them for years and watch almost every game they play. Italian football is very much my second love.

I don't think he'd suit English football, although he's a very classy player when he's playing well.

He is. However he is now past his peak. Not as seriously past his peak as Vieira was when we "snapped him up" eighteen months ago.

I'd al so agree with those who say that the EPL is not designed for him. He will not be afforded the time and space needed to be as effective as we would need him to be.

He is a great free kick taker though.

Most likely to stay in Italy I suspect.

OMG mate , you are destroing my feeling with you .... :( :( :(

well... may had been worse if you were a juventus fan TBH :O)

My second football love is Milan( well not really love- its like playing away with a 20 quid slapper), but It would be great to have Pirlo for a couple of seasons.

Think where we want to be next year and what he could bring for CL games-have a centre midfileder more experienced?

Perhaps could replace Vieira's role within the club? Could be abit off the pace for the league, but more than decent cover for Silva and a good player to have for the european games.

Mate... there is no way that a 31 year old Pirlo would replace De Jong... no way.

lol dejong is more undroppable than barry

hes not a substitute for silva, hes a substitue for barry! pirlo is just as good at tackling/making space as barry, is a better passer, a better shooter, and really isnt much slower or older than barry. and think about what he can teach a player like yaya. yaya was a great young talent, then got to spend a year learning from patrick vieira and then from pirlo? imagine this lineup!

-------------------------hart------------------------
--richards/zaba---kompany--boateng/kolo-----kolarov-
------de jong/barry/milner---------pirlo/yaya----------
silva/johnson/roman-------------------pastore/assaulin
----------tevez-----------dzeko/balotelli--------------

that is a side that could challenge for champs league title, imo

in: pirlo, pastore (35 mill?)
out: vieira, jo, adebayor, swp, weiss (20-25 mill)

a 10 mill investment makes us look a lot stronger, imo. compared to however many hundreds of millions weve spent so far, thats value
