someone please explain the point of a fan running onto a football pitch at the end?

when you consider that the players would be escorted off, what would the said fans do once on the pitch? celebrate like they've scored a goal? hug each other? wave to the crowd?

they will gain nothing that they couldn't do whilst remaining in the stands.

if you run on the pitch like some fucking idiots then we wont get to see the trophy being lifted and presented. please do not spoil this its been a long 44 year wait for city fans, we dont want it spoiled by some dicks thinking we're on the hill in blackburn again

i think its because of whats at stake if people do it. we wanna see kompany lift that trophy so badly.
