Pictures or it didn't happe........ actually, no, carry on.I woke up with an exceptionally bullish erection this morning.
Thanks for that G..Taking my blue-tinted spectacles off, the more I think about it, the more absurd the notion that the club has systemically and substantially cooked the books becomes.
It would involve a deception on a par with Bernie Madoff, but to involve a much greater conspiracy, in terms of numbers involved. It would also involve incompetence from auditors and banks on a scale similar to the SEC and Bear Stearns in the Madoff case. Logic says the likelihood of all that occurring to be vanishingly small. The serious charges simply make no sense, if logic is applied. There may be a couple of technical breaches, but that would be true of any club.
Conspiracies are notoriously hard to keep going over a sustained period. The bigger, the harder. People fall out, or become aggrieved, or something unforeseeable occurs to move the pieces on the board. Something always happens eventually. The notion this size of conspiracy went on for the period alleged simply doesn’t hold any water.
Something evidential would have come out by now.
Ah thanks. I thought they provided some of the relevant docs but that makes sense. Not the books, an analysis of certain of their transactions by an expert iirc.
Auditor and CEO, yes I think.
It's not even going to be heard, this is PL regulating itself death. Government is taking over the governance of English football, the fans finally saw the mask slip with the European super league and revolted enough for government to listen. So do City get to choose a rep on this three person panel ? Or do we just get our legal men to put our case to the panel? My main concern is the objectivity of the panel. If it’s completely above board and we are bang to rights then I can accept that, if it’s a kangaroo court with little or no avenue to appeal then that is my big concern.
Good post, also those 5 clubs are not in favour of an independent regulator. Those other 8 clubs sent a joint letter to Uefa and the CAS to hurry up a legal process three years ago. In essence, don’t properly look at the facts. Hasten up your progress to the verdict cos one of those 8 clubs could do with having City’s space in the Champions league. Nothing to do with fair legal process, just pure opportunistic greed to gain something they weren’t good enough to attain on a pitch.
Now they are crying cos Pep has called them out, I bet behind the scenes Levy has been jumping up and down for action on City. There’s no coincidence Spurs are sat in 5th and would be the ones most likely to gain from any points sanction being handed out.
The charges and sanctions being attempted to dish out have been pushed by other clubs wanting this to happen. The Premier league would probably prefer to just close the case and forget about it. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place, they have to be seen as doing something as 5 of those clubs have been plotting to set up a Super League.
This is is Rosen in his last caseSo do City get to choose a rep on this three person panel ? Or do we just get our legal men to put our case to the panel? My main concern is the objectivity of the panel. Always a good signI woke up with an exceptionally bullish erection this morning.
