PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

They are fighting for their own survival in terms of governance here as they know the government is coming for them, something that we support.

Vested interests at every single and with certain clubs ensuring certain people get certain jobs at the PL, its no surprise in the way this is unfolding.

This is their very last chance to see us off, the very last
But governments can't directly influence a league or UEFA and FIFA can ompose bans of their own. But, they can facilitate independent, Impartial governance... which this government is totally incapable of doing.

Not sure how correct that is. The PL will still exist as an organization and business and competition. It will only lose its ability to self regulate its members and rules. That will be vested in an independent regulator.

The slippy G comment. Genius. Think unfortunately it will go over many (in the media)'s heads.

Arguably, uncalled for, 'distasteful', spiteful even. But, clever as fuck, for two reasons.

1, reinforcing the idea Pep doesn't forget. It was only what 8 months ago the whole media had whipped up a frenzy of the 'revenge' of steven Gerrard depriving us of the title on the final day, and hammered home that script till it almost almost materialised, and got giddy over it. And we overcame it. It was clearly aimed at them, and they didn't even notice.

2. Mind games, beautiful mind games. The arsenal team watching that, will start twitching. Slowly, eventually, but it will creep in there, the idea they can slip up at any point and that is all it takes.

I'm legit starting to think, given the coverage and narrative that has formed around "well connected" sources, that a good chunk of the premier league have bought into the "time barred technicalities" argument and that's all they're going with at this trial.
If so, they will be laughed out of court.

Which in turn removes the current influence of a few certain clubs who demand the league is ran to suit themselves.

The way this latest attack on the club is playing out and the motivations behind it show that the premier league cannot govern itself without being influenced by lobbying from certain teams in the league. The way this is playing out the premier league and City could be still scrapping away on accounts being right or wrong two decades after they were produced.

If nothing is time barred why does no one lift the floor boards up at United and Liverpool and look at their historical finances? I bet there was some creative accounting done when the Glazers and Fenway Sports were buying their respective clubs to extract as much money as possible from them. I would imagine they are at it themselves making their accounts look like a bed of roses to any new potential buyer. Those in glass houses and all that.

He couldn't have come up with a better example to rubbish the ideas of stripping titles.

The fact he picked something from before he arrived as well is perfect, makes him come across as a real City fan rather than just being bothered by what happens when he's here.

I think there is more to it than that. He picked out the aguero moment too. I think that one in particular is in response to the whole script ahead of the villa game last season, that the media were responsible for.

Liverpool dodged a £50m FFP bullet with their write off on a stadium development plan that never happened I seem to recall.

Without that ruse they would have failed FFP.

Not a single club nor company in the UK will not push every single law to the absolute limits operationally, not one.
