Bit of a difference Oakie, no "big 4" then, 7 different winners in 7 seasons.City did exactly the same in the mid 1960s. Promotion from the old 2nd Division and then within 2 years won the Championship (PL as its now called).
Everton story is weird how could they possibly pass FFP even with exemptions and Covid alliances etc given their losses but to charge them with one breach and not say what stinks
The football landscape looks nothing like it did back then though. For Leicester to stay up by a point and then go and win the title is almost unbelievable in modern times. It just doesn’t happen.
Leicester wasn't exactly the romantic story of beating big, bad Man City it was made out to be.Not necessarily disagreeing with your viewpoint on "conspiracies" overall, but come on. Leicester's meteoric rise from Championship to PL winners in no time at all followed by an equally rapid fall from grace must make you wonder. Same as Liverpool's regular above average performances followed by spectacularly poor performances. Most clubs you can explain their performances over seasons perfectly reasonably. Leicester and Liverpool not so much.
That’s not correct. In the same way City’s FFP breaches (some of the City’s charges are FFP) are detailed as being specific breaches of Rule E, Everton’s could also be.They've been referred for breach of FFP, that's all. That is simply a numbers game regarding how much they can discount for various reasons, and for a single 3-year period.
There isn't anything more specific to describe it. It's not the same thing as City's charges which are not to do with breaching FFP.
1937/38 Was that a conspiracy? Not necessarily disagreeing with your viewpoint on "conspiracies" overall, but come on. And they both have owners that are prepared to dip into their pockets and invest in their business which appallingly is not allowed.Everton and Man City charged. Seems like they share a common rival hmmmmmm
