PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

What the media have sought to do from the beginning is make this into a quasi-public enquiry. And there's a reason for that. Public enquiries are always initiated at the behest of the loudest pressure group and will always reach the outcome that pressure group is demanding. It keeps the unruly rabble off the backs of the politicians.

The one decision the PL can't, and in my opinion, won't reach, is that we've breached no rules. All Hell would come raining down on them.

Perhaps he has, but I'm getting weary of all the shit being thrown at City.
I should be spending the summer with a selection of thoughts running through my head:

So many arguments are being dismantled on here by supporters who only have a basic knowledge of what is going on. The club has the full details and should ridicule our accusers at every opportunity. City clearly want to grow the "global brand", but shit sticks, and there is a lot of shit being thrown in our direction.

Even Jordan acknowledged it was a clearly one sided production.For me the fact they couldn't get the correct number of years of success between the takeover and 1976 might seem innocuous bit as a consequence how believable is the rest of it.

If you look at the associated threads on the forums or other clubs - very believable

Of course - we know it is drivel - but we are not the target audience - it is doing what I suspect is the intended job - get the fans elsewhere clear in their minds that we 'got away with it' previously - but might not with the PL

It creates a situation where the PL can be OTT and be applauded - rather than scrutinised

Hope not, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Pretty obvious that the commission is struggling to find any thing conclusive to charge us with and no doubt they are keeping their pay masters up to date ! Hence another smear campaign just hope when we're found innocent of any wrong doing that City go after the clubs who lead this with legal action for defamation to the clubs name and image ! They hate us cause we're owned by Arab's who are showing the shabby debt ridden American model how to really run a successful football club !

With the emergence of the Saudi threat - the FA are finally realising they have a business to run/protect and investors to attract - not to simply kowtow to the nostalgic rantings and jealousy of the blazer clubs.

It will be very interesting if those who funded the YT video became known. It's obviously on YT rather than on TV because if it was on TV they would presumably have to disclose more information about who commissioned it. It's quite slick presentation so it obviously wasn't done on the cheap by amateurs. The fact that they are hiding its backers is a strong suggestion that it is part of the ongoing campaign against us, with the latest part of it seeking to delegitimise the findings of CAS. I would be very surprised if the video's funders are not connected to at least one of the red clubs. I think the aims are to keep the finger of suspicion pointing at us even if the 115 charges are dismissed. If/when that happens there will probably be another YT video from a similar source to explain why we're really guilty and why we only got off on a technicality. Sadly there will be no end to the accusations whatever happens.
