PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Regarding the rags breaching UEFA FFP but not the PL FFP, I believe that all hinges around UEFA FFP not allowing as large a write-off for Covid lockdown losses as the PL's version. So it was quite possible for a club to fail UEFA FFP for that period but pass the PL FFP.
Yes but apparently the rules state failure to comply with UEFA rules is against the PL and punishble

You are right. Everton were charged, the "independent" panel found for the PL and a sanction was levied. Everton have appealed, so there will be a new "independent" appeals panel. City can follow the same appeals procedure if the panel finds for the PL in our case.

After the appeals panel, there is a final right of appeal, on certain limited matters, to an actual tribunal, more like CAS.
So when will the 10 point penalty apply, this season or later if this appeals process were to drag on for say 12 months?

Neither do you, with the amount of inaccuracies in your last few posts.
Which I admitted to. I’m sure you are following it all. I’m also not claiming insider knowledge as it seems Rodney is.

How likely would it be that City had disclosed this to Rodney Marsh much as I’d love it to be true.

After long and careful consideration I've decided that the best and funniest outcome is Chelsea are relegated and titles are stripped, we are handed an extra CL trophy and PL, and then we our found innocent. We sing "where's your European cup" when we draw them in the league cup while they're still stuck in league 2.

Everton fans would do well to concentrate on their own case. As far as I know, their club haven't denied they breached FFP so it becomes a case of appealing against the severity of the punishment. I'm absolutely with them on that - they've been stitched up with a very harsh penalty for what is a first-time offence. There has been an edge to City v Everton games for many years which peaked in the aftermath of the Lescott transfer but things have calmed down a fair bit since then - not least because they came into money too and we stopped Liverpool winning the league a couple of times - and they need to realise that we're on the same side as them this time. Any protests or demonstrations on Sunday shouldn't drag other clubs into it as all cases are different. Plenty of Everton fans on social media aren't engaging in whataboutery regarding us and bear no ill will towards us but some have.
Good post, so they are 20 million over the allowed losses, how can one club be over 900million in debt and be within the rules ?.Not seen any journalist ask this question which 91 other clubs would love to know the answer to.
To suggest Gill had a conflict of interests is the biggest understatement in our sport.

I think one reason for announcing it now is to create a certainty rather than some potential game-changing move in the spring. It'll be on this seaosn.

I expect that any appeal will be decided by early next year at the latest, so everyone knows where they stand. This case isn't that complicated - it just comes down now to whether the penalty is reasonable. It would be very harsh to change things later in the season.

This is going to end up as one huge shit show that could bring the PL to it's knees.

Too many people have too much to lose and with the ruling that clubs can sue each other the shit is going to hit the fan and everyone is going to get a mouthful
Maybe this is what happens when cartels start to lose control;-)
