PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Previous reports said City’s misdemeanour allegations were historical, but today there is an implication that they continue to this day in the Daily Fail and so on. Surely this is grounds for legal action?

I will take that blues, that should be plenty of time for a regulator to throw it out!
Moaning about if city have irrefutable evidence then show it? Get the case wrapped up early!
You could argue we already have shown the irrefutable evidence to the league and due to the agenda from the rags/dips they won’t accept what is infront of their face.

There are thousands and thousands of documents to review and many people to interview.
I don’t understand why there are so many documents to review & so many people to interview. Obviously I’m not a lawyer but within these thousands of pages of contracts, you imagine it’s not the whole document needed but highlighted areas.

If I was issued a ticket for travelling at 28 miles per hour in a 20 mph zone, would or should it stand? Given that the 20 mph zone was a 30 mph zone last week when the alleged offence occurred I would say there was not a leg for them to stand on and I'd anticipate the majority on here would agree.
Well this looks to me like what the Premier League are doing to City, changing the rules retrospectively and then charging City for historic breaches against current rules, Makes no sense, though top marks to them for trying....
BTW the scenario above was just that, a scenario.
This what makes me think they don't stand a chance of making it stick, not only that but the first questions to be asked should be "when did you first know about this?" and "why has it taken so long for you to make these accusations?"

Genuinely don’t know if the time set for hearing is ideal for the club. Makes sense with gravity of allegations and years looked at spanning involved.

it’s a massive historical case over many years with all manner of serious allegations against us if you think we can just reproduce a few pages n say hey presto here ya go then your being naive, just relax our board are doing there due diligence we’ll prove our innocence & if they want to fit us up i strongly believe we’ll release the hounds so to speak & show all our enemies misdeeds and take the league down go nuclear, the PL don’t want thatI don’t understand why there are so many documents to review & so many people to interview. Taking parts of document chains out of context is what got us in this mess in the first place......
