Definitely Der Spiegl. Pinto was just an opportunist who hacked millions of documents. City are a tiny fraction of his hack and we didn’t even feature in any of the charges when he was recently convicted of extortion. He is also facing more multiple charges. Spiegl have a track record of fabricating stories and were hammered by the regulators in Germany in another case.Wonder who did the email merging, the hacker or Der Speigel. ?

A good question. But a better question is why did they do it? Was it to placate the bosses at Bayern Munich who were so vicious in their public attacks on City? Bayern had Der Spiegl over a barrel in a separate legal action which could have closed the magazine down. Just one query on your post. Do statute of limitations apply in civil ( as opposed to criminal) cases in the case of fraud or concealment?
No lawyer (thank God) but, as far as I know, yes. ;)
