It didnt make sence to me at the time that these clubs and others voted in favour of ffp. They signed their own death warrant and consigned themselves to mid to bottom table teams. Bonkers
In fairness it was their chairman as they didn't want to spend the money I guess.
I`ve no sympathy with any of these clubs, seeing they`ve fought like fuck to screw us over.

Don Revie met Alan Ball on the moors regularly and handed over some brown envelopes. Imagine Revie’s mood when Ball signed for Everton.I can't guarantee it was 1962 but four clubs were done for it: Peterborough and (I think) Northampton Town were demoted from the old Second Division to the fourth, which was a draconian punishment, and the FA (or FL) announced that any clubs found to be in breach of the same regulation would be treated in the same way. Then it came to light that United and Derby County may have actually breached the same regulations in the same way. The investigation showed this to be the case but the punishments were, for some reason, not on the same scale. I add that Matt Busby had apparently agreed a deal with at least one player which involved illegal payments right at the start of his managerial career in 1945. This was never actually proven but a Blackburn Rovers official went to meet the player at the railway station, having already agreed a deal with him, but was ignored by the player, who walked off with Busby and later signed for the rags.

The premier league claim to have iron clad evidence against city. I am surprised they need lawyers at all. Why didn't the league release the findings of the 4 year investigation? Surly they don’t need a tribunal?
I call and smell…Bullshit.
City would have settled if we genuinely thought the league had nailed us to fraud.
So instead of being able to prove anything, they decide to release the baying mob. As someone else said, if the American clubs can’t win on the field they litigate!
So spit and rat should be asking the league to show their hand not MCFC. Wonder why they don’t?
