I hadn't thought about the effect of the split hearing on timing before. There could be a liability finding first and an appeal against the finding even before there is a possible sanctions hearing and an appeal against that as well. If we are looking at (at least) three months for the liability finding and six months each for the other processes, that's still nearly two more years.
One thing I would add, though, people are thinking that a quick judgment on the liability finding will be good for City, and a long wait for the judgment would indicate some more closeness. This may be true, but second-guessing is a stressful fool's game because we don't know what a quick or long wait for the judgment is. So my advice is not to start panicking if we hear nothing by end February. That may not be an indication that the club is struggling, just that it takes longer than we thought to deliberate, write and approve 500 pages' worth of issues.
On the other hand if we hear nothing by May .... Panic!!!!!!
