PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Would they have been using hacked emails to go back through accounts in the year 2009 if Guardiola had never rocked up at City and we were enjoying the initial odd title here and there and struggling to get out of the group stages of the champions league like we were during the early stages of the take over. I very much doubt they’d give two shits about where Mancini’s wages and who were paying the sponsorships

Now City have crushed them all into the ground and they’ve loaded their clubs with debt to keep up they want City gone and Guardiola’s legacy in English football tarnished because they haven’t got a clue how to run a successful football club. It’s that bad they are now poaching our staff at the swamp to replicate what City do. It’s getting tiresome the attacks and the constant rule changes to try and fuck City over, it’s not stopped City but it’s killing other clubs growing in the process.
Pretty sure the rags owners had loaded the club with debt way before they needed to try and keep up with us

Same sentiment here. Without this gargantuan success under pep none of this would be happening.

If we’d have spunked millions and ended up in the championship they would have waved us off laughing and none of these “rules” would’ve seen the light of day.

Cunts.

That debt has got bigger since they’ve had to deal with the City juggernaut. They probably leveraged that buy out thinking they’d always be top dogs, being in a constant transition since 2013 has made the hole they are in even bigger.

Not long after our takeover, questions were being asked on the sustainability of the ADUG strategy, plans and investments. The Swiss Ramble did an analysis and concluded they were feasible, albeit conditional. Success on the field has justified the investment, removed any doubts and taken City finances to the top, beyond other English clubs and still growing.

Typically it was dismissed in the comments particularly by an Arsenal fan. Knowing about business in the Middle East, I replied saying that they had no comprehension of the scale of the proposed investment and that it was a 20 year plan in scope way beyond the proposed limited developments around the London Olympic Stadium. This was even before the Etihad Campus contaminated land site development.

It would be very interesting to revisit The Swiss Ramble archives, if anyone has access? For those not familiar, he is a respected, credible and often quoted source on football club finances in a standard comparable format, predating FFP.

I like Swiss Ramble, I even subscribed to his reports he issues.

The world doesnt run on facts though, it runs on make believe. And thats why a knob like mark goldbridge can make more money telling people what they want to hear.

Is that what he's saying?

Tbf to him that tweet reads like he's saying what Martin Samual has been saying for 10 years... the champs league money, along with ffp, has skewed the league so that teams in it will almost always be in it.

But that’s not happened, the teams are very different even if you just look at England as Liverpool & Chelsea didn’t qualify & the Rags didn’t get past the groups. Newcastle were a surprise qualifier but went out in groups.

If anything there’s been a bit of a shake up which is why the cunts want to change it back.

From what I've read they both come at it from different angles.

Samuels appears to be old school, not fussed about the format but that the Champions League should just be for champions, and by including teams who finished in the top4 of the biggest leagues it caused further disparity between the richer clubs of the biggest nations.

To me, Delaney is just bemoaning that the likes of City are now competing for honours. We would not be getting articles like this from him (and nor did we) if United, Liverpool, and Arsenal were constantly in the latter stages.

His argument is that there are only certain teams able to win it now, when that was always the case (other than a brief period when English clubs were banned and it saw Steaua, Porto, PSV and Red Star win their first European Cups).

Since the anomaly that was Porto v Monaco there have been 19 CL Finals. 7 clubs ( Real, Barcelona, Bayern, Milan, Inter, Liverpool, and United) share 16 of those titles. Those clubs have been runners-up on 9 occasions.

Since Nottm. Forest beat Malmo in 1979 there has only been one final where both European Cup/Champions League finalists were making their first appearance at that stage guaranteeing a new winner of the competition. That was in 1991 when Red Star beat Marseille.

I think Pep has a bet with the press office what fucking stupid question he will ask.

Note the look Pep gives his mate on the top table everytime he's covers his face after Slimey opens his gob.
If you read the articles Stone writes after City press conference's, they're never around the stupid question he asked himself. Probably because he doesn't want to highlight the fact that Pep slapped him down again.

Only took him 15 years to realise? Guy is unstable, he's championing the ESL as the long term fix for unfairness lol
