PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

More or less yes, they were asking him questions he couldn’t answer so he said wait for the decision in a month , but it wasn’t from any knowledge of when exactly we’d find out just to shut them up..
He gave a press conference on the 7th Feb. and you can watch it again on mancity.com. He volunteered the information and he did so in a way that accords with the regs in the handbook suggesting he had been briefed and it wasn't some random throwaway remark. That's just supposition though.

Not how I remember it and doubt he’d have known a month and half ago when it was due to drop, unless we’ve been sitting on it for 6 weeks, not likely. Can’t be bothered looking back though, it isn’t important .

Never really happened that way.

He suggested ‘a month’ but he’s a football manager not an executive. He would have just been repeating information he’d been told in terms of expecting the outcome in a specific window. Who knows what he was told - it could have been ‘spring’ for all we know.
Fair enough. Then the club could update us that - That it was a guess. Anything really, even if it is bullshit. Just care about the fans, who live this shit every day.

It's not beyond a 6pm statement release, we've done them at 6pm in the past, but something of this magnitude i would expect an AM release to be honest.

Gives everybody all day to get the knives out, piss boiling pans or popcorn then.

So anyway, just catching up. Has he been on here with any “updates” today?
I was here on the morning shift and in that time Billy Shears updated us that City still have not received the verdict. I don't think there can be anything else.

The PL shareholder meeting is on Thursday, that might lead to news, most likely Masters saying that we can't say anything.

Maybe the club don’t know either and anything they say will be a guess too. Wouldn’t be surprised myself if it was end of the season before we heard, nor would it surprise me if it was tomorrow.

He didn’t update anyone he just throw out a random date to shut them up.
Didn’t he just refer to March as the PL had previously said that March was the most likely month? But it seemed that they threw out that month really just to dampen down expectations of an announcement before Christmas.

Given that the written verdict is likely to be of War and Peace length, they’ve probably just got as far as writing page 999

Perhaps the commission should liaise with each party as to the timeline? That's what you would think would happen.

Probably, I never paid that much attention when he said it never thought we’d have a definite date weeks in advance.Whenever we do get it think we’ll get given a couple of days to assess it and prepare statements before it’t released publicly at an agreed time and day, but doubt the club or PL get more than a few days notice.

If you want to know what Pep said, watch the press conference, 7th Feb. If you want to know the Premier League rules, read the Handbook.

'in a month' = 5 days to go
