PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Apparently, Everton are planning an appeal because of this, the previous breach & the next breach on the horizon, all overlapping with each other.

The PL said this punishment has taken the breach overlaps into account, but Everton are aploplectic with rage & feel they're being hit with treble jeopardy.
Not knowing rules but you'd think once punished the 3 years would start again or maybe that's what they thought

Autrefois convict, but the latest year in the three year cycle is said by the PL to be the worst breach. I haven’t seen their accounts. Incidently, the PL is claiming that some stadium related items, which are capitalised in their audited accounts, should be included in the ffp calculation. If the PL is going to challenge auditors, we are all in trouble.

The PL evidently haven't thought this through. If FFP/PSR was only affecting City as intended, no one would give a rats arse, but now everyone can see the unintended consequences, it's showing up these bullshit financial controls for the Premier League killing bollocks they are.

iirc, the clubs have never agreed to points deductions. It certainly came as an unwelcome surprise to Chelsea.

They agreed to leave it open to points deductions instead of setting out a table that charts points lost vs how much you overspend.

This is disingenuous.

The rules themselves are phenomenally stupid and so lead to phenomenally stupid sanctions when applied.

They are the antithesis of fair sporting competition because they make it nigh on impossible for an 'outside' club to challenge a select few at the top.

You’re (disingenuously, ironically) mixing up 2 separate things.

1) Should there be any financial restrictions in football?

2) Is the Premier League destroying its sporting integrity by enforcing the punishment system the clubs voted for when clubs are caught deliberately cheating?

We’re discussing 2, 1 is a completely different conversation.
