interesting thread just posted by @Prestwich_Blue
Didn't like the form of words used. As many have said on here it had a "fuck you" tone. You didn't like the statement? Or the anonymous briefing?
I don’t mind Jordan until he speaks about city. He clearly doesn’t like us or our owners. Referred to us as a grotty mob when trying to buy Kane, that isn’t somebody who can talk impartially and balanced about us when he clearly lets person issues take over. As he speaks well the turds who listen to that station hang on his every word. Regardless of the truth
I am not sure that is how things work. What you are saying is "if you are innocent show us everything then"...I mean they have some allegations on 2009-2017 so focus on that. The club not cooperating with investigation into the past 5 seasons is a bit concerning to be honest.
The only logical reason to cooperate with investigations into 2008-2017 (the period covered by the hack) and not cooperate over 2018-2023 is that the punishment and reputational damage for obstructing the investigation is better than what would be revealed if you did fully cooperate.
On that first point; even though there were different rules at the time, they are still saying our books don’t reflect what they say they do which is against criminal law that all businesses have to abide by, outside of PL FFP rules. What gets me with all this is we have charges against us in a time when Sheikhandour was allowed to do what he liked with his money. Once the regulations come in then yeah its fair game but if its going to be this intense why not go back to when the human rights advocate Thaksin took us over. Also am I supposed to believe not a criminal in at all Abramovich did everything correctly, that Gillete and Hocks weren't a pair of shysters. The Cardiff and Hull owners who took the piss out of there own fans. Why does it only include us, fucking chancers amd criminals running the PL
Doesn't do any harm to get the independent digs in at the beginning. Realistically, we are going to be charged with something and independence is certainly one angle that could be used later. I would imagine we will protest the Arsenal fan KC as well, will be useful later. There must be plenty of KCs who don't follow football to oversee the committee. We didn't need to express surprise or make a point about impartiality. It was a not very subtle dig and won't go unnoticed by the potential leader of the panel itself. Words always matter in these legal conflicts.
Fitzman’s £50 mil investment in the mid 90’s (when Arsenal’s turnover was. £16 mil at the time) is equivalent to 1.5 billion in todays money. Totally transformed the club with half the french world cup squad plus Bergkamp/overmars brought in. Nothing ever saidThey've all got where they are due to having money pumped in, the problem is it's historic... Arsenal moved to Highbury for money, Liverpool in the early 60's etc... HOWEVER, this doesn't mean any of them are not guilty of serious financial misdemeanours during the PL era... we all know - as do proper Rags - that Ferguson and United got up to some proper dodgy shit... their transfer dealings for players like Bellion and Bebe to name but two, the incentivees they offered kids families to have their kids join them... etc. etc., but does the hard proof exist?
Makes you wonder doesn't it?Eyebrows have also been raised in regards to the timing of the Premier League’s announcement, given the imminent publication of a white paper by the UK Government relating to an independent footballing regulator.
So here's a question, why dont the PL want football to have an independent regulator!
The PL under the vice like grip of the yank owned clubs have thrown these charges out like a panicked soldier chucking a thrown enemy grenade from the trenches
So much so, that our own club lawyers had to tell the PL that they had worded the allegations incorrectly!
I believe that we will prove our innocence, however i want us to then go for all these bastards that have been party to these attacks - and unfortunately that know means the PL and those in charge are in that line of fire
I have to also question what the end game here actually is? Cos it is the yank owned clubs who are leading this systematic attack on our owners and club.
Is it to get some charges to stick, get us fined and docked points plus maybe a transfer ban that would allow the red shirts to catch up and become the top 3 once more? So they can once again dominate domestically
Or is it the above to get us so far behind that the super league will resurface but will no longer have City included in it?
Whatever it is i am praying that we no longer take the softly softly approach - this is surely it now and the powers at the PL have shown their hand and which mast their colours are nailed to
Depends what evidence they have. He seemingly has not spoken to anyone involved in the investigation, so they've brought the charges based on other evidence.
