PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If we are found guilty then we deserve what we get. I won’t stop going or burn my ST.

My main concern is will it be a fair verdict based on an objective and non-partisan review of all the information at hand. Transparency is the most important thing here as whatever the outcome it is only going to lead to accusations of us paying bungs or it being a stitch up.
Why would we deserve what he get if it’s a stitch up

It’s that aspect that worries me. I am sure we are innocent but I fear the panel will feel under huge pressure to find us guilty in contrast to CAS who were not subject to constant media and public nonsense.
They can be under huge pressure but if the evidence is not there there is no case to answer, remember some of what they are accusing the club of is systematic fraud, a very serious charge that will require serious evidence, I accept that burden of proof is not the same as a criminal case (and this is a tribunal not a court) but it will require incontrovertible proof

100% the other fans will say we “got off”, bribed/paid our way out of it and everything is tainted.
They tell me we got off CAS cos so much was time barred. I think they have all been brain washed and pool fans in particular so full of anguish and pain they absolutely hate us
Nothing we can do about it football tribalism works that way, are all LFC fans murdering thrives? Are all United fans plastics from the Home Counties? We know they are not but it does not stop other fans including us saying it, it just needs removing from the media discourse once we are found innocent

I think what people forget is that they cant just go you're guilty here is your punishment, they have to say why they have come to a certain verdict and what evidence they had available to them to allow them to reach that verdict.

Exactly.

People have become paranoid to the point where they're convinced it's a kangaroo court waiting to expel us from the league to protect the "cartel".

The PL are going to come out of this with egg on their face, but there is a valid reason as to why they investigated in the first place.

If you see some smoking guns in a clubs finances and they then refuse to help you investigate it, you're going to draw conclusions. If the evidence provided proves us innocent, then the panel will find us innocent.

I genuinely don't think the Prem are out to "get" us.

In my opinion, the PL have found some kind of smoke regarding the things named (Mancini, Etisalat, player wages etc) and they've rightfully done their due diligence.

However the club refused to cooperate with any investigation. Therefore the PL has reason to believe we're cheating and has no proof that we aren't.

There is no way in hell the businessmen running the club would let it go this far of they didn't have the evidence they needed to exonerate us. If we get proved guilty of everything, it absolutely destroys the clubs standing in football. And I mean actual football, not dickheads who live on Twitter or spend 8 hours a day in front of their podcasting equipment.

I believe we'll take a heavy fine for the non-cooperation and the club are prepared for that as collateral damage.

The PL let it stew too long from the announcement and we're going to let them take the fall for that.
If they are not out to get us why has the PL gone back 15 years into our accounts looking at things like image rights, consultancy fees, sponsor deals (all perfectly legal)? We were cleared by CAS but they have not done this with any other clubs, many of whom have failed FFP on multiple occasions. We have not refused to co-operate with the PL (we did that with CAS for sound reasons).
If the PL leadership has genuine motives then why are people from our commercial rivals still being fed titbits of negative information about our club which are then being leaked to selected people in the media so they can write damaging stories?
If the PL is acting in good faith why did they break up the same allegations of improper accounts into 115 seperate charges over multiple years and then privately brief the media (The Times) in advance of their public announcement. This was designed to cause City maximum damage. They haven't done that with any other PL clubs as far as I am aware.
The current leadership of the PL has been totally compromised by their own unethical behaviour and that's one of the reasons an independent regulator is being introduced. When this case is concluded heads will roll at the top of the PL corporate structure.

And that's why I don't think the club will take "a hit" for any form of non-cooperation.

How do you cooperate to provide something that doesn't exist?

Total exoneration or nothing. The Premier League have made their bed.

Two downsides of Klopp leaving is that they might not bother asking him for his opinion when the not guilty decision is published (remember his "a bad day for football" when CAS cleared us?) The other downside is not seeing him even more broken than he appears now by Pep.

Was he ever pulled up on his "a bad day..." comment?
Was he ever pulled up on his "one trophy at this club is worth five at another" quote? I think more than one or two among us would have had stomach pains from the uncontrollable belly laughing
