**** more likeWhat a knob.
**** more likeWhat a knob.
Masters took over as Interim CEO in 2018. This is his baby, not Scudamore's.Not so sure about Masters — he inherited the investigation into City from his predecessor and can claim he’s just been doing his job. Aleksander Čeferin is still the President of UEFA.
On the one hand Barney Ronay has not been proven to be a ****. On the other hand we know he is.
I can put you in touch with a good solicitor if you don't already have one.My own make up which I`ve used on numerous occasion on this forum. I will be sending a letter over from my solicitor for breach of copyright ;) ;) ;;)
I don`t have deep pockets ... unfortunately. ;)I can put you in touch with a good solicitor if you don't already have one.
It reminds me very much of the oft attributed to Mark Twain quote that “it's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled".That doesn't make the opposite true.
I'm not saying anything about City's guilt or inoocence. I don't know. But given how far this has come I think the likelihood of a "This was an entirely baseless witch hunt by other clubs" is pretty low.
The panel!!!Whom?
Yes, I'm aware of this quote and concept. The psychology behind it is that if you admit to yourself you were fooled, you admit you are a fool and people can't do that. The post Brexit reaction is the best example of it in my lifetime. There's also no doubt to me that you're right about the non-City football world making mass assumptions and also that whatever happens they will stick to them. Bot I'm expressing concern here that a lot of Blues on this thread have gone the entire other way. They've convinced themselves that City will come out of this and "go nuclear" on everyone in football - the press, the FA, other club owners etc. I think a lot of posters are deluding themselves based on very little. It reminds me very much of the oft attributed to Mark Twain quote that “it's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled".
It’s a saying for our times and, I don’t believe, it’s ever been truer.
It’s relied on by every politician and almost every journalist and goes to the heart of many of today’s problems.
It’s why people who’ve been scammed are more likely to be victims in the future and why, in the face of overwhelming evidence, people double down on previous positions.
It’s also why 95% of journalists (and other UK football fans) can’t countenance we might just be innocent of these charges as they’ve bought into it all, hook, line and sinker
They’re so far down the rabbit hole that, even if they ever do consider a not guilty verdict might apply, they then immediately caveat it with ‘government interference’ or ‘brown envelopes’.
Well that must have been where I borrowed it 30 odd years ago lolMy own make up which I`ve used on numerous occasion on this forum. I will be sending a letter over from my solicitor for breach of copyright ;) ;) ;;)
Underrated post.I can put you in touch with a good solicitor if you don't already have one.
If we are substantially cleared at least one journalist will have a melt down. They will be legalled, make a public apology, and pay a substantial donation to charity. Every other article will continue with loose criticism and include an allegedly. This case was always about damaging the club through whatever means necessary and it has already succeededYes, I'm aware of this quote and concept. While i can see your reasoning does it not beg the question that following the cas verdict what other possible reason could there be ESPECIALLY given the free passes that they have given to other clubs not to mention their implementation of illegal rules during the APT case. That doesn't make the opposite true.

You’re right, I thought the investigation started before he was appointed interim CEO in 2018, but it was the same month.Masters took over as Interim CEO in 2018. This is his baby, not Scudamore's.
You are Leonardo di Caprio in Catch Me If You Can and I claim my £5I concur
I'm a Lutharian too, Not Arf!You are Leonardo di Caprio in Catch Me If You Can and I claim my £5
it is modern, yeah, that's precisely why i posted it.The stuff you’re posting is very modern. The Jamaican teenagers probably love it but their parents probably say “shite this, not like the old days” :). To me it sounds too computerised and has none of that old time rawness the stuff I’ve grown up on has but each to their own my bredda :)
You are absolutely correct on the two highlighted parts. The **** knows exactly what he’s doing.“It says much that people in the game have started to refer to the collapse of the Chinese espionage trial, and wondered whether there will be government involvement given the geopolitical dimensions though the club’s Abu Dhabi ownership”Yes you could be right. I didn’t understand it to be honest.
That hints perhaps that he thinks we will be found innocent because the Government has stepped in? Is that a thing that could happen? Can the Government do that? Or is it more likely he will use that as an excuse if we are found innocent?
I agree.. the outcome is largely irrelevant as the damage was done long agoIf we are substantially cleared at least one journalist will have a melt down. They will be legalled, make a public apology, and pay a substantial donation to charity. Every other article will continue with loose criticism and include an allegedly.
