PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Led the way with leaks? Being given confidential info from an ongoing case to try and turn the tide of public opinion against one side is nothing to be proud of.
I am referring to the entire story over the last few years rather than the latest story. The battle between City and UEFA is a legitimate story for any media to report on and that includes using leaked material. My issue is that most of the UK media has only told one side of the story and has now gone into full-blown propaganda mode.

Chelsea avoided breaching the PSR limit by selling the two hotels and car parks at Stamford Bridge to a sister company for £76.5million. This was enough to turn a £166.4million loss in 2022-23 into a £89.9million deficit for the club.[
@David_Ornstein]

haha, PSR rules, well done I guess absolute joke this is allowed but clearly not against current rules, bit of a loophole indeed.

Masters is a fucking idiot. time to sell Etihad complex and academy pitches for 500 million pounds. :)
if it is allowed for Chelsea...

Mad thing is it got voting in that it's fine! American owners sticking together

Liverpool - Sponsored by a bank that funds terrorism, launders money, breaks international sanctions.

Media reaction - Fine and all above board, great that one of our renowned chartered banks is linked to that fine football club.

Arsenal - Sponsored by a country with appalling human rights abuse records with atrocities such as arbitrary and illegal detentions and genocide.

Media reaction - Fine and all above board. Great to see a "developing" country investing in such a renowned football club. The government are returning that investment by offering people who entered our country after fleeing oppression from their country of origin safe haven in such a beautiful country that Rwanda is. And all for free.

Manchester United - A club over £¾ billion in debt, majority owned by a family who have taken out far more money than they have invested into the club. Minority owned by a British multi billionaire who has dodged paying tax to this country by a loophole that allows him to save £4 billion per year.

Media reaction - Nothing wrong here, great to see a British person investing into such a renowned football club who we fawn over no matter what

Manchester City - Bought by wealthy Sheik Mansour, Sponsored by a prestigious renowned Airline, owner has invested millions of pounds in regenerating a very socially and economically deprived area of Manchester transforming it into a thriving, money generating area for the local and national economy.

Media reaction - cheating bastards, state owned and funded by dirty oil money. A pariah to the Premier League, The FA and UEFA. Should be relegated, titles stripped and fined. This club should be wiped from the face of the earth for the good of the game and not be mentioned in the same breath as those other fine upstanding clubs.
This needs going national.

If we were not successful, none of this would be an issue. The combination of success, rapid growth, playing style and accusation is absolutely toxic in a nation that despises winners, especially when they are brown.
True.

No-one cares about Newcastle really

I suspect it's more than them being sympathetic. I suspect that if you follow the chain upwards there will be some link between either the yanks at the rags, dippers or bottlers and those that own dominoes, be that personal links or financial agreements. It stinks of propaganda.
A little bit of research shows that the head of marketing at Domino's is a united fan from Dublin. Been there just over a year.

His likes on Twitter are the confirmation I needed.

They're all part of a clique and you don't need to look far. In June 2022, for example;

"Whitbread, the owner of the Premier Inn hotel chain, has confirmed the current boss of Domino’s Pizza will replace Alison Brittain as its chief executive next year"

Alison, of course, left to become "Chair" of our beloved PL.
