Make of it what you will. I'd love to know who these "sources" are, and how credible they are. I'll remain healthily sceptical about such stories.

It's bull guess work! There has only been 3 days of it and there is still rest of this week and next to go..

I think you’ll find that these aren’t related parties, so it’s alright. They can get sponsored for whatever amount without scrutiny.
That’s what you’ll be told.

Nothing to see here.

Move along.
The hypocrisy of these deals is rags forever banging on about 'dirty oil money' as if their oil money was somehow of a cleaner and purer variety. They also had Gulf Oil among their sponsors until a few years ago.

And let's not forget how giddy they got when a Qatari sheikh was trying to buy them.

"If the rules weren’t in place, clubs could agree sponsorship deals as high as they wanted with no challenge, increasing the amount they could spend under the profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

O’Rourke revealed Man City will be confident they will come out on top over the Premier League after Uefa previously tried to ban them from competing in European competitions."

Typical bullshit from the clickbait "Football Insider".

Winning this case does not then mean clubs could get sponsorship deals as high as they wanted. Particularly those clubs in UEFA competition.

The reference to the UEFA case also makes no sense, the two cases are completely different.
