PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This is brilliant. I'm writing my next missive for KOTK so have been going through the rule books to see exactly what we've been charged with, and it's clear the Pl have fucked it up big time. For example, in 2011/12, they've charged us with a breach of Rule E11. That rule in the 2011/12 Pl Handbook says "Each club shall enter the FA Cup".

I've looked at a few others and it's a similar story. They've seemingly charged us against another rule which says that, except for televised games, all PL games will be played on Saturdays at 3pm.

It's an absolute fuck up.
I hope your right P.

So we’ve been charged with not playing in the fa cup? Even though we did? Did they charge united when they didn’t?

I've seen more than one journalist say that Man City are very quick to threaten legal action about stories.

It no doubt makes some difference, but newspapers will be threatened all the time, and will be careful when they need to be, and sail as close to the line as they can.

It would also be crazy for the club to actually launch multiple libel actions, as they could bring all the finances out into the open, and are unpredictable. Whatever we think of the likelihood that City win beat these charges, we all know that the club have had to be as creative as possible in order to break into the top tier, and even if they've not broken laws, they wouldn't actively invite scrutiny.
They don't have to launch multiple actions but no credible organisation would allow a major news outlet to publish claims that "they have committed fraud" without challenging it. I am not suggesting they should be like Robert Maxwell handing out writs lke confetti. But Mailonline has one of the biggest audiences in the world and stories like this one (which is inaccurate, unfair, and unbalanced) are devastating for our reputation. To ignore something like this is tantamount to an admission of guilt.

Unless I’ve got it wrong, Rule E11 for 2023 is about financial disclosure. Could it be (and I haven’t checked every charge) that the current handbook is the reference point?
Saying that, the insight you provided to Blues during the CSA build up was encouraging at the time, and subsequently proved correct.
I hope you are right it’s a fuck up, but surely after the CSA fiasco extreme care will have been taken in preparing the charges - they’ve had 4 years.
As another person has said, what happened to when we just went to watch the game without all this political garbage.

Lord Pannick appears to representing Boris right now as well. Khaldoon is pulling out the big guns.

I tried going through the handbooks yesterday so I could list each breach and make it clear for others but I thought I must be doing it wrong when I kept coming across the same shit.

They got the statement wrong the first time, wouldn't surprise me if there is still errors in there.
Was the length of the grass charge and something to do with ticket allocations ones they got wrong
