PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Fuck me I wouldn’t be relying on Starmer to tell me what day it was never mind him sorting something as big as this, mate.
I'm not sure Starmer would sort anything but I'm sure the UAE would of told him, any reputational damage and the guaranteed £20 billion funding in UK may be at risk and whatever else the UK may need from the UAE. Whether its Starmer, Farage or Boris whoever or whatever party is in power, doesn't matter, they need funding from the middle east countries. You only have to look at the big cities London, Manchester & Birmingham. The middle East has a massive investment in real estate etc in those cities.

we’re just over a week away from the World Cup.
The charges were brought not too long after the last World Cup.
The hearing finished ages ago.

But we’re still waiting.
We’re never going to get a fucking verdict are we?
The verdicts and poss points deduction will arrive if Man City look like there gonna pip the rags to the title ............so could be at least 10 or so years

If we were about to have severe reputational damage, Khaldoon would be absolutely nowhere near City, he’d be distancing himself from the club and looking to drop it like a led balloon, to continue his political roles.

He was there against Villa, last day of the season, not hiding, in plain sight in directors area, not only that but looking proud of Bernado, Stones and Pep as they said their goodbyes. He was in the main seats at Wembley, as we lifted the FA Cup yet again.

He’d have the biggest brass neck in the world to build a £300m new stand and complex, extend Haaland for 10 years, extend Pep for 2 years, buy Cherki, Reijnders, Donnarumma, Semenyo, Guehi, Khusano, appoint Maresca and pay Chelsea off to do so, go after a 9 figure Anderson etc. etc. if City were expecting to be caught doing the serious charges. It would be total insanity and he’d be lying to a lot of people, not just that, some of the biggest names and agents in football. The guy looked down the barrel of a camera and said he’d say his piece when the club was exonerated.

Anyone worrying about this needs to step back, think and realise that City are full steam ahead. Not only that but all genuine ITKs are saying the club is extremely confident. Haaland and Pep have recently given confidence in the club’s off field behaviour. City’s leadership know the emails don’t prove anything, they know they haven’t done it. They know they’ve already answered the vast majority of charges before and been cleared.

Stop fretting, we’re about to win and win fucking big. Get prepared to fire all the shit you can back at the bitter cunts that have given you shit over the last few years about it. That ticker we had when we finally won something in 2011 and counted down from 35 years to 0, is going to be played again but will be 115 (or 131 if you want to be accurate) charges to 0.

First hard-on I’ve had in months.

If Pannick believes the club's bang to rights he'll have told them - wouldn't bother him one way or the other. In fact, he would have an absolute obligation to tell them if he thinks they're bang to rights, including possible next steps. To me, the club hasn't behaved as though Pannick has given them unwanted news. This would have occurred years ago. At the end of the hearing the club was talking about its 'comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence'. Through all the subsequent mudslinging, the club has maintained a dignified silence - albeit crafty journalists have constantly tried to get Pep to speak on the matter.
He has no obligation whatsoever to tell City whether they’re “guilty “ or not.
He has an obligation to act in the client’s best interest and to hold the Premier League to the required standard of proof.

It's about half a mile on foot to the sea from our house and when we get to Fairway at Fleetwood-by-the-Sea I still now even as a FOC and living here 4 years always say to Mrs Moon "Can you see the tower?".
ah, fleetwood.
spent many a week there in my youth in the 1970s.

my grandfather was originally from across the water, knott end.
he moved to manchester as a young child with 8 brothers and 1 sister into a 2 bedroomed house. imagine that.

when we visited family we always took the ferry over the water to fleetwood.

my memories of fleetwood are a huge market hall, a large model boating lake, 2 lighthouses, a ship that regularly departed to the isle of man and lots of fishing boats.

at school i wrote a short essay about fleetwood being a pre-roman settlement of a tribe called the setanti (no idea how i've remembered that) and ptolemy mentioned them.

i expect you will tell me it's all shut down now :(

City wouldn’t need Pannick to tell them they are bang to rights, if they had done what is accused against them.

It's still batting...

Market Hall has been 'done up', the ferry was almost history recently but has had a stay of execution.

Lighthouses still there including the one, known as The Wrek about 2 miles out in the sea which has a RNLI walk to every year, 21/06 this year.

It's quieter than it was when I visited as a child in the 70's but still has it's moments, busiest day is Tram Sunday where you can't move for people in the town centre (19/07) and is well worth a trip up for.

Nice prom to walk on, if there's no discharge from the Water board a pretty clean sea and plenty of sand.

Ferries haven't run for years and years and no fishing boats now.

The boating lakes are still there and are popular with kids crabbing in summer.

Pubs nothing special though, the highlight is The Steamer owned by Syd Little but the beer isn't good there.

The £20b was already invested in 2025. Reduces the risk a lot...

They are more bothered about the media state ownership restrictions than the charges.

I always laugh when someone mentions the lighthouse at Fleetwood. I've got a business in Blackpool and about 20 years ago employed a lady from Fleetwood. She was a bit rough and she and her husband were heavy drinkers. One Friday I asked if she was doing anything that weekend. She said that they was going to see the Lighthouse Family. I never knew she was into music and I asked where they were playing. She looked bemused and said she meant she was going to meet with the pissheads that used to gather and drink by the lighthouse!!!
