PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Also, it’s laughable that so many charges relate to Mancini acting as adviser to CFG as they grew their template to bring new clubs in.

Whilst in Stretford, Ferguson has got one of the most expensive wine collections in the UK, got his wages subsidised by racehorses and stud fees and to this day is one of the most expensive non exec directors/ ambassadors, apparently still on £2m a year.

“So Alex, we can’t pay up what you want and make the books balance this year, so how about £2m for life once you retire?”

He is bang on why arent the other 17 investigated.

The PL is a cesspit. Stuck in the 1990s. Bent from top to bottom.

I believe that history will eventually show that the Super League would have been a better option for the game in the long term.

It would be interesting to see what the 'hateful eight' would have tried to do to City had we been among the original Super League clubs.

Probably nothing.

So this new chief of the FA, Debbie Hewitt, a self proclaimed 'big rag', her first major policy decision is to try and fuck over lickle citeh! Makes you wonder....
Previously she has Chair of the Restaurant Group which went into administration in 2020, so she's got form form.
The FA have nowt to do with this, it is the Premier league with the allegations

So what I am reading is that City can appeal any decision as can the premier league, a new panel would be appointed etc what seems to have been discounted is legal action. However, casting my mind back to last summer, Burnley and Leeds threatened legal action against the Premier League for failing to implement their financial rules on Everton. Eventually they dropped the case BUT it seems clear City can sue the Premier League and for limitless amounts, what this also means is that when our players get injured by opposing thugs and PiGMOL look the other way, City could sue the PL for failing to ensure the safety of our players via their appointed cheats. It really appears to me at least to be open ended. So back to the charges, the implication City in effect committed fraud for nine years is an absolutely outrageous claim if all you have are the Rui Pinto (****) hacks. I want City to go to war with these bastards. Enough is enough.

No f*cking about from City! He was probably approached a while back and has been preparing our defence for some time.

Lord Pannick KC is one of the UK’s most highly regarded advocates, practicing in a broad range of areas with a particular emphasis on Public law, Human Rights and Constitutional Law and specialising in appellate advocacy in most areas of law, from commercial disputes to trusts law. He has acted in a large number of the leading public law cases of the last 30 years, appearing in 100 cases in the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords (before it was replaced by the Supreme Court), more than 25 cases in the Supreme Court since its creation in 2009, more than 25 cases in the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg and over 30 cases in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. He appears both for Claimants and for Respondents –whether government departments or other public bodies. He acted for Gina Miller in the Supreme Court in September 2019 when the Court held, by 11-0, that the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, had unlawfully prorogued Parliament and so Parliament was recalled the next day. More recently he has advised Mr Johnson in relation to the inquiry by the House of Commons Committee of Privileges into whether the then Prime Minister misled Parliament about parties at No. 10 Downing Street in breach of Covid regulations. His recent cases in the Supreme Court include litigation in the fields of employment law, trusts law, patent law and commercial law, as well as public law. He regularly appears in the courts of Hong Kong both for and against the government.

Lord Pannick KC is recommended in both of the leading independent legal directories:

  • Administrative and Public Law - "He has a brain the size of a planet and could turn his hand to anything." (2020) "Mesmerising to listen to in court." (2021) "He is the most brilliant advocate at the Bar." (2021)
  • Civil Liberties and Human Rights - "David is the leading barrister in human rights." (2020) "His level of skill and ability is astonishing." (2022)
  • European Law - "Unbelievably knowledgeable about how different areas of law interact; there is nothing he can't turn his hand to." (2020)
  • Professional Discipline - "He has an impressively broad practice and is an extremely good advocate." (2019)
  • Telecommunications -"A brilliant advocate whose analysis is just excellent." (2020) "He is, as is universally recognised, one of the great barristers of his generation." (2021)

Any good at left back?

As a fan of another team, I find this very interesting. But what strikes me after reading a lot of this thread is that there's a lot of blame-game going on here. I've read a lot of blame towards other clubs, the FA and PL, but very few, if any, are talking about the real case and the substance in the accusations. If there's done something wrong, which the enquiry will find out, surely there has to be consequences?
Accusing the club of cooking the books for 9 YEARS!!

You do know that's a serious criminal accusation? Call the police or have HRMC involved in this case if they have proof of any wrong doing. That's right Bullshit that's why!

Now please fuck off out our forum.
