PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Sunday morning, hangover rant...

The spectrum of conjecture ranges from, tarqunts who think our world class legal term just raised their hands and declared "sorry we have no defence, whatsoever" to @Matt Diablo who is convinced it's just a pretence, a show trial to please cartel clubs and provide content for the desperate shills in the MSM.

It must have cost well north of £100m, if you include the 4 year investigation, the pre hearing prep since 115 day, the hearing and the judgement etc. Of course the PL costs are divided by 19, so per club it's very affordable for them.

My own conjecture ? this week, it will be leaked and then confirmed the hearing has finished. So, the "beginning of the end", of this phase of PL v MCFC . However the war will rumble on for as long as we are successful and a threat to the red shirt cartel. The sooner we all accept it, the easier it gets.

Why's it still going ahead, then?

There's a huge amount of cost associated, for both parties!
That’s a key question. The only thing I can think of is that the cartel clubs have put so much pressure on Masters that he can’t resist. It is baffling in so many ways. There is nothing rational about the current PL regime. They are even appealing the Leicester decision. Perhaps they were bluffing all along, like UEFA, and thought City would agree a settlement.

There have been rumours of a 6 week hearing and a 10 week hearing.
There was someone who said last week that the findings would be released before Christmas.

Maybe they are all correct but slightly mixed up.
Could have been a 6 week hearing with the findings released 4 weeks later.

That question needs to be asked to the Premier League who from the outside looking in run the top league in the world like amateurs at the moment. Drafting illegal rules to stop certain clubs, using illegally hacked emails as a starting point at this investigation which were shown to be a load of bollocks by the highest sports court in Europe.

They think they can land this, just like they thought they could operate outside of English law. Their naivety in pursuing a political power play on behalf of other clubs is not a good look for English football.

Beautifully summed up.

I agree it will rumble on but hopefully the PL now know City will turn to legal matters if they don't check most things for fairness and legality before a vote.

Forget about the media they need more clicks than
City fans can give so survival is their priority.

Leicester, Everton & Forest are (unfortunately for them) the collateral damage in the cartels never-ending quest to stop City by any means necessary.

The time taken & the millions spent just to protect the legacy clubs who feel they are football, in the belief that no one outside of their cosy club should ever be allowed to sustain a challenge against them, is frankly staggering.

The PL are actively trying to commit commercial suicide, but the cartel, whose eyes are bloodshot with rage, don't care.

The witch hunt against City to protect their hegemony has long since surpassed joke status.
