PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I will try, but with so much of this gone on, might take a bit of time to dig up what I remember reading. It has stuck with me though, because I felt partly disappointed that it wasn't a 'full' vindication and left that stick to get beat with, which the media have and still do use.

Doesn't matter. We were talking at cross purposes :)

£10 Billion investment into our skint economy and the PL basically accuse senior Members of the investors Royal family and government of being dishonest and underhand.. would this not lead to potential criminal charges and a diplomatic issue and the 10 Bill off the table?? Am genuinely confused at just what the PL hope to gain.
I think there’s loads of shit happening behind the scene. Cartels are using pl for their own interests. Maybe there’s a power struggle happening right now. Whoever is trying to buy rags may have assured theyll match 10 billion as long as city owners are kicked out.
This is a political hit job but then anything else .

A little bit mate, I won’t lie.

But then I remember the burning hatred I have for all things Red, that caused of all this shit and I feel fired up and ready to go.

It’s very sad however as I’ve had a major falling out with my lifelong friend of nearly 50 years about this. He’s a red.
During the uefa case he kept his thoughts to hisself, largely because he suspected - correctly - that we would be cleared but he’s gone all in this time and said some things that belie his true thought process about “dirty Arabs” and such like.
I’m not sure our friendship will survive to be honest. Which I admit is equally pathetic on my part too as it’s only a game but, for me, it is the rank unfairness and hypocrisy of the whole charade that grinds my gears. And friends of 50 years rubbing my nose in it whilst gloating in my face will be hard to forgive easily.

But remember, when this is over and we are vindicated, the payback will truly be a sight to see. It’ll make the cas verdict look like a kids tea party in comparison.
And make no mistake mate, we will be vindicated.

One more thing… for a good while now I have considered myself to have a bigger hatred of Liverpool fc but this last few days have caused me to reevaluate that.

We’ve seen ten years of pent up jealousy, hatred, and fear come bubbling up to the surface with the real red cunts and I for one, can not and will not forget the things I’ve had said to me this week.

Superbia in Proelio
I've got loads of Red mates too - and family. Never once rubbed the Glazer situation in their faces. Always sympathised. Always acknowledged when they've done something I felt was admirable. Horrible behaviour on his part but always sad to lose a friend - I hope you guys patch it up and before long he'll be crying about something - the Super League, the Glazers, some scandal...and you can take the high ground.

I think the time barred evidence (as long as its not dodgy) the club want out there as its the biggest claim from the UEFA/CAS trial that we got away with a load of stuff as it was time barred? I think the end of the club statement is telling and they feel now is the time to put that myth to bed as well.

I get that, but presenting it and someone actually looking at it and then documenting it are totally different things
I'm guessing here but I would have thought that the evidence was produced by City and CAS said no need it's time barred, let's move on
I think that UEFA looked at it, as part of their original investigation after Der Spiegel published it. But once CAS decided what the relevant cut-off date was, I doubt it was examined as part of that hearing. Some of it would have been earlier Etihad payments. so there should be no issue there. Another time-barred sponsorship was one from Etisalat, where Der Spiegel showed this had apparently been paid by ADUG iirc. But we know how selective DS were and I definitely recall seeing something about Etisalat later repaying ADUG.

I was more thinking that CAS proceedings are private and confidential. I can't imagine they just hand filed evidence out to other people. The only thing people see is the award.
And that's also a very good point, It makes sense as the CAS hearing was a private issue between City and UEFA and the files aren't in the public domain I presume

If that's the case no one but City and UEFA and the CAS panel should know what was presented evidence wise

Meaning the Premier League has no more than what's in the Public Domain

Or am I missing something?

Yes on both, and agree generally with your earlier post too.

Which is why I think the accusations are not just about seeing the time barred elements, but go right across the whole time period examined. Pretty much the entirety of it all.

I was a bit peed off with it when it broke for a day or two...more so at the charlatans jumping on the wagon and spouting about how City could be expelled etc. They remind me of bully school teachers or over zealous security guards. Now I'm not really mithered. There's no real logic to the whole thing. To me it's more about the certain people at premier league headquarters trying to exert authority on a club who have pumped hundreds of millions into the game, the local area, helped community projects all over the planet, done countless charity projects and generally acted as good upstanding people. The Premier league are being used as a front for some jealous people to get one over on our great MCFC. Frankly they need to be ashamed of themselves for being really bad losers who will do anything to harm an organisation who came along and did everything (stadium, academy, training ground, players, management) better at the time than they did. If they had any brains they would have gone...oh that's the way to do it...but they don't....because they don't like to share the wealth and power. They are a disgrace and I hope Kings Counsel Pannick and his mates wipe the floor with them and have them stripped of any future business dealings or authority in football.

The Week in Football Summary.

So let me get this straight...

1. Monday: The UK Government announce a 2 week delay to the leaked white paper on football governance & the creation of an independent regulator.

2. Monday: The Premier League announce disciplinary proceedings against Manchester City for breaches of FFP after a 4 year investigation.

3. Thursday: A22 announce a revised European Super League, which is the same as the old Super League, but with two lower Leagues & NO owner investment allowed.

Conclusion: There's absolutely ZERO coincidences here, so please trot along... :-/
