PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Selling oil at a convention designed to reduce it's use isn't a war crime but it isn't a great look.
You’re surely not suggesting they ran the story purely because City have an association with the UAE?

Agreed but it’s no different to the Tory Conference in Manchester everyone from Cigarettes Companies to Arms Dealers promoting their products…. Haven’t heard the BBC complain!

lol, ok. So much anger; so little point.
Apart from the anger I think he made some very good points.

Burnham did not raise this with the powers that be just as an Everton fan, he used his authoritative position as the mayor of Manchester to try and influence. Once he did that he absolutely opened himself up to questioning as to why he has never been interested in the very similar injustices taking place against a club in the city he is mayor.

He’s commented on a concluded process.

He can’t comment on ours as he doesn’t have the information to comment on.

Fair comment, but the commission did state that it ignored the PL's sanction guidelines. Everton also said what they thought would be a fair sanction. This was ignored too.

So the PL a wanted a 12 game sanction, presumably Everton wanted a a small fine and the commission went with a 10 game sanction. The idea that the commission is wholly independent is stretching it and few if any are convinced. Burnham’s much criticised note has opened up the whole can of worms about when the guidelines for dealing with Everyon’s case were introduced. The commission clearly state 10th August and the PL deny this - someone is lying! Whatever way you look at this the credibility of the PL and its processes are seriously in doubt and any KC worth their weight should seriously question whether they get involved in the pantomime - be it Christmas or not.

It is different though, the tory party conference isn't specifically and only about reducing harm form cigarettes and arms?

No one had a go at him when he stayed out of football is corrupt for the last 5 years. It just seems incredible that as soon as his club is hit he used his platform of “quite a big cheese in Manchester” to influence proceedings.

As soon as he was pulled up, he said he’ll comment after the decision but he said fuck all after the CAS verdict, so I call bullshit.

It’s my opinion that if we’d had people outside of our club willing to challenge the narrative we wouldn’t be in this mess. I suspect Burnham thinks 1 of 2 things, speaking out about Everton will help Everton or help his political career.

So fuck him.

It wouldn't require much to blow away City's preposterous charges, the body of evidence required to prove this nonsense simply isn't there, if it was, after all this time, we'd be talking punishment not independent wotsits.

But no one with any clout will call it out, so the Premier League continues to flounce about bollock naked coz no one is willing to laugh at its tiny dick.
