The interview with Klopp, in which he said it was a bad day for football, actually showed that he didn't understand CAS's judgement or that he hadn't read it or that he didn't know anything he was talking about. He said that he supported FFP and CAS's ruling was a bad day for football because he seemed to think City had attacked FFP and CAS had ruled the whole thing invalid. He was bemoaning what he thought (or pretended to think) was the end of FFP. At least this time he's admitting simple ignorance!

That's a pretty generous assessment? Maybe not, but I remember it at the time as he supported FFP and he thought City not being punished for the UEFA charges was a bad day for football. I doubt he just made that up the moment he was asked the question. He must have been talking to people inside the club when it happened?

Maybe you are right and I am being unfair on him, the ****. But you know? I don't care because he is a ****.

Winter has jumped ship with whoever he was with or they've pushed him to be precise, he does seem to be on a few things associated with city at the minute and does seem to be more positive towards us.

Maybe he knows something the rest of us don't.

He knows the same as every other journalist, club, City fans and non City fans, and everybody else except those in the room looking at it...absolutely fuck all ;)

I hate Klopp but in fairness I think that’s a fair response to the question asked. Nothing snide in it, it’s a reasonable opinion on it from him.

It seems pretty transparent what he's doing,to me at least.

A fair response would have been to not mention the off field stuff at all.

Winter is now (after the torygraph and he expressed a differing of positions moving forwards) a pen and viewpoint for hire. Even though he is warming to the City mob, he will remain a paid mouthpiece.

Lots of the media at the time said City being found innocent was the end of ffp. They had to justify their previous stance by pretending there was something amiss with CAS case. STOP PRESS: Man found not guilty of theft. Well, that’s the end of the Theft Act then.

They did actually. Bizarrely he did a Norwich away game a couple of season later. And then he was done.

Tevez had played a blinder. He scored a hat-trick in his comeback game, following his fall-out with Mancini (did that famous golf swing celebration after one of the goals). He also got booked for diving when he should have been awarded a penalty.
The first question put to him, under the stand, after the match, was an attempt to goad him into criticising the referee.
Can't remember the reporter's name bit it's the same twat who often does the job today.
Buzzer was rightly fuming. When he questioned their etiquette ("what's the purpose of asking him that?") he was never getting asked back.
