That's a good point mate but I'll flip it on it's head and say ask us everything you want about it because we haven't done anything wrong, give the media enough rope to hang themselves with.

Not having a go at tolm, I've posted similar on here before about his posts. I love his transfer spec, it's fun and games - but when it's an issue as serious as this and he's heard developments it'd be good to know exactly what they are and not necessarily out his source but tell us if the information is matter of opinion/confidence or genuine inside knowledge of facts.

I just think he keeps his contacts well out the picture and waters down the info, for obvious reasons.
This latest tweet i like as I just get the feel that the timing of it and the timescale we're on for the verdict being given that it just fits nicely.

It isn't always possible to publish details if you are told something confidental and off the record. The last thing City would want to do is to be seen to leak information because our lawyers have persistenty attacked UEFA and now the PL for leaking information out. The PL leadership have made some big blunders in recent years because detailed information from investigations and legal cases has been leaked to the media by some Club Directors. It has had so much detail that it could only have come from people at the very top of the PL. Some of it has been so obvious it has even made it easy to identify the source. This has made the PL (and UEFA) look stupid and has undermined their own case.

Given who posted it I'd guess at the former 100% myself, he's a Blue so any other interpretation makes no sense whatsoever. There's some delicate flowers on here at times.

All you can glean from that tweet is that there will be a huge reaction when the judgement is released. Well yes. whichever way it goes BM will go down under immense pressure and fans of all clubs will be offering their takes on all platforms. It is the biggest football story for years and judgement day (& long after) will be enormous.

I understand your point and the consequences of leaks. But I also understand that as he is fairly new to twitter/x although been involved in journalism for a very long time, there's maybe perhaps an opportunity to build a reputation beyond what's held on Bluemoon.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the posts are so vague that the only purpose which they are serving is to get people talking, tying in with the point I made about building reputation.

If this hearing is as watertight as it's made out to be which by all accounts it is, I'd have doubts as to how far down any information would filter. I suspect only a very very small, select group of people who are very high up at the club will know.
