PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Surely we will have the further information from the APT case plus the costs before the end of the January window and maybe even some news on the 115 before the end of the window. Just as we need a January window for once. Could be interesting ?

And a manager that is going to commit to more than 2 seasons, if we need a rebuild (fuck knows if we do) then we need someone else's vision at the helm who will have to work with the players.

Two seasons is plenty. We were in a worse position before Pep joined and he won 100 points in his second season.

Besides, he'll be here beyond 2027 anyway.

2 seasons definitely isn't enough if he wants to bring players and hand them over to a new manager, it should be the new manager bringing the players in.

It's all a bit wishy washy and posey for my liking, I want details :)

Will anyone else feel cheated if we win the case, in that we witnessed the best football team english club football has seen this past 8 years, and for a lot of it large sections of the media and opposition fans have dragged our name and achievements through the mud and failed to acknowledge our greatness.
In our hours of glory they’ve snidely put us down.

I’ll be going to town on every last one of them if we are victorious

On another note,
The negative side of me is starting to think that everyone is too confident though and it might be a shock verdict for us all
Hmm you might be right. With the rumours of sheikh mansour having to step in coming out. Why would he have to do that if we’d won? At the end of the day I just can’t wait for the whole shit show to be over!

Maybe he's annoyed and hugely insulted at being labelled a cheat, and wants to confront his accusers face to face. Arab culture is different from ours. It's a "face culture" like huge parts of Asia, whereby embarrassing someone openly is s huge insult and has severe consequences.

If it’s a “trial” as such. With witnesses and such I’m sure you’d have to say who’s taking the stand before the trial starts, and not just decide to bring someone in at the drop of a hat

I genuinely couldn’t give a shit what rivals or the media think just as long as we’re cleared.
The memories and moments I’ve seen cannot be sullied regardless of the outcome and certainly won’t be affected by what some gobshite thinks.
I think it is fair to say that it is solely the UK media who continually are against us. Not saying the global media does not occasionally have a go but you do right to ignore the domestic media lies and biased views.

I thought the whole point of the club's footballing structure was that the manager is just another cog in the wheel (albeit the most important).

The idea is that the style of football (IE -possession-based and attacking) is the same from the youngest youth teams to to the first team.

This should mean that any signings made in the next 2.5 years would also suit the next manager, whose style will be similar to Pep's and the wider club's.

Now thinking this whole trumped up shit show is having it's desired affect.

A prolonged period destabilising and mud slinging to bring us down.

City have not recruited as well as we have done over the last couple of years and possibly forced into selling young promising assets with value and relying on older players on the decline who we would normally have let go.

The case is about levelling up.The Dips are romping away early doors when they really aren't that good.

Can't see any conclusion now until the January window is firmly shut.

The powers that be, including the Cartel because they have as much influence on the game as the authorities which is corruption in plain sight, want a new name on the title, preferably one of the 3 redshits!

I would hope that we have documented proof of the reputational damage done by the media and rival clubs over the past few years and sue them to fuck.

Funny how sportwashing was flung around for City, Newcastle and even british cycling for using shell as its sponsor but since scruffy Jim and his dodgy petro chemical company have bought into the rags Stone and Roan dont mention it anymore.
Biggest “Sports Washing” outfit? Standard Charter to wash away their sins being caught and fined numerous times for laundering terrorists money

Nothing to do with recruiting or squad management imho

Wrong.

The biggest sportswashing outfit is Liverpool Football Club.

An institution whose fans murdered 39 Italians, blamed everything from Chelsea supporters to the architectural quality of the ground, refused to apologise for almost two decades (and only did so because they drew their victims in the CL) and held a trophy parade on the anniversary of football's darkest ever day.

These murdering bastards invented sportswashing.

How many of the managers currently in situ at the rest or the PL clubs will still be here in 2 years? We actually have more stability than the vast majority of the rest

Spot on. City get a better press abroad than we do at home.

I've moved on a little. Whilst still accepting there could be a negative side to any verdict, I'm waiting for the repercussions and the soul searching in the press, of why they brought the charges in the first place, and the possible motivation behind it.

How long should I wait?

It’s not a trial it’s a tribunal hearing maybe a list of witnesses has to be provided pre hearing maybe not? They don’t take the stand and maybe HH was on the list especially his position in the UAE government being busy I’m sure he would have to have it factored into his schedule

Maybe the draft judgement is out and with the club and PL for comments. You have to allow for the Christmas period when SFA gets done in most offices, let alone the legal world. Maybe it goes public on an agreed date in January. My guess is that if the draft judgement is out there, comments won't be expected by return of post. More likely they would allow 3-4 weeks, which would take us the Christmas period.

Note - I'm not claiming this to be anything more than a guess.
