PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Not a response to you jrb, but to some of the content in the video you posted.

When @slbsn says it could be a lengthy process to then determine potential penalties, if this verdict determines liability, did I misunderstand that you then say it could be a further coulle weeks after that? Is that really a lengthy timescale or did I get that wrong. Think if they detemine we are guilty and then a couple weeks later they decide the appropriate penalty, I would argue that was quick.

Interesting point on the sequence of potential appeals. Guess that answers a question I asked before. I don't however (not in a legal sense, but a general one) see the logic of waiting till a penalty is announced to potentially appeal both. Does that not raise the issue of what happens of the appeal says there is no liability as the penalty is being drafted etc. Surely it would make sense for one to be appealed first and any penalties to wait for that, than try run them simultaneously, or together. Unless it is the same body that deals with both, but then it is kind of loading their decision already potentially.
In the event City lose on everything, I'd estimate, say:

D - judgment issued
D+2 weeks - directions for liability hearing
D+8 weeks - liability hearing (1-2 weeks of submissions)
Say, D+16 weeks (ie 6 weeks post liability hearing) - liability decision

Clearly, if City only lost on coop, maybe

D - judgment issued
D+2 weeks - directions for liability hearing
D+4 weeks - liability hearing (1-2 days of submissions)
Say, D+6 weeks - liability decision

On appeals, the reality is City will probably say right away they intend to appeal. But what I am discussing is the practical steps and process will probably only commence after the IC issue the liability decision and the appeal then being an appeal on both liability and sanction. Interestingly, today's Nottingham Forest FA appeal is just one of those...

Yes - wouldn't get hung up on how the IC/PL could relegate us - in the worst case they can find a way either by points or expulsion

if they did expel us then league 2 would be the highest league we could play in isnt it

Really? Who bothers with Football 365?

As mentioned above The Premier League can give a points deduction or expel us. But Football 365 say relegate so it’s not credible, just click bait.

Besides, it’s a nuclear option. But who knows in this day and age of nonsense.

They could give a sufficiently large points deduction to effectively relegate us

365 hasn't published a credible article for years
Its now a Liverpool fanzine.

Someone posted an F365 clickbait headline. Nothing to worry about.
F365 are in the gutter of the gutter press. They just make shit up as they go along. Any Blues on here linking their stuff to this thread needs a stern talking to from the Bluemoon Gestapo erm, mods.

football365 are Sky TV. It lets Sky publish shit about City.

I liked this bit from Maguire:

"We’ll probably be looking at somewhere in the region of 60 to 100 points, which would effectively guarantee relegation out of the Premier League and into the lower tiers of football in the EFL.”

Make that make sense.

As for sanction at Easter, bollocks. Even fucking Wyness understands it better.

yeah I deleted the link, not linking that shit on here. Though I'll probably forget tomorrow.

Thanks for that. You know, we all joke about how much shit gets posted on this thread but, on here, we have given ourselves a pretty good idea of what is happening and what is going to happen. Much better than anyone else seems to have, certainly much better than the press seem to have and much, much better than rival fans have.

So thanks to everyone who has contributed to that over the last two years. Two years, Jesus .....

And thanks also to everyone who has ever asked a question. Never be ashamed to ask a question - remember there are no stupid questions. Ask and ye shall learn.
Oh for the days of people asking questions and being curious instead of today’s penchant for ‘instant knowledge’.
Sadly, the journalists who’re supposed to be curious, are supposed to ansk awkward questions, who are supposed to investigate or inform, are actually the worst culprits, which is especially galling, especially in this age of misinformation….

By his logic, Southampton must be shitting themselves as they’ll be straight into the conference……
