PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

From memory it wasn't 4 to everyone. I think season ticket holders were allowed to buy an extra one if they wanted as we had about 18,000 season ticket holders at the time.

I was one of the lucky ones regarding that queue. I was a member of the Levenshulme Blues at the time and Bill Black (who sadly passed away recently) did all the spade work in securing the tickets for branch members. All we had to do is give him our season ticket details and the money so there was no need to queue up. However, on the morning they went on sale I went down to the ground to renew my season ticket. I knew it would be hammered with the play-off final tickets going on sale but like an idiot I thought they'd have a dedicated window dealing with season ticket renewals and that I could just rock up at the window and sort it. When I got to the ground I couldn't believe my eyes. I honestly couldn't work out where the queue started and ended. I walked up to a steward and explained that I was there to renew my season ticket to which he wisely replied that I might want to leave it until another day as I'd have to join the Wembley queue to do it!
As I recall, certainly on the Saturday, you needed 4 away stubs for the extra ticket. I had 2 season tickets but only 6 stubs on me, which were stuffed in my season ticket wallet. I hadn't seen any announcements so hadn't bought more. Luckily, a guy in front of me had spares and gave me two, for which I will be forever grateful. Was able to get a ticket for my Dad because of him.
I got there at 8:30am and the end of the queue was at the main entrance. Thought I'd be home in time for the cup final, but the queue went right round the ground and back under the North Stand. The horror! I got home exhausted at about 7:30pm after having no food or drink all day. The missus thought I'd been kidnapped or something. Lol.

Oh shit I didn’t know Bill passed away.

May be a daft question but where will the announcement come from? Will the premier league announce it first or if city know can they just release a statement

Remember jumping on a few of those trips run by Bill Black , although not a member of the Levenshulme branch, that ran from the Wheatsheaf or a social club named after the road it was on (memory going and not my side of town). Sad to hear he has passed away, a good guy. Some very lively trips.
Spot on. Barlow Road social club and The Wheatsheaf were the 2 places

Yep, sadly he passed away a few months ago. He'd moved to Cornwall with his wife Sue about 20 years ago

Uncle Kev had his ways in that ticket office
My best mate from school worked in the ticket office at the time. Whilst everyone queued I just walked up to an empty window he pointed me to, having nipped out of college, picked up 6 tickets from him and drove back to college.
Happy days.
