PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'm guessing here but there are multiple alleged rule breaches in each of a number of years. I wonder therefore if they have to determine each instance individually.

So "Did Manchester City breach Rule W.4 in 2015?"
"Did Manchester City breach Rule W.5 in 2015?"
"Did Manchester City breach Rule W.5 in 2016?"
Etc.
I would say so.

I'd hope they wouldn't get away with anything else.

BillyShears gave us the informed view that the time taken to reach a conclusion is due to the complexity of the case and the gravity of the charges and had nothing to do with the likely outcome. As has been pointed out many times the IC would be finding a whole regiment of those involved responsible for serious criminal acts over many years and to do this on the balance of probabilities would lead to further ruinously expensive and potentially disastrous legal action. If this sounds as though the delay is simply to protect the PL from possible action following a "guilty" verdict it is not because it remains that the PL has brought serious criminal charges against highly reputable people and institutions on no/flimsy/totally inadequate evidence, possibly (depending on the evidence City bring forward) at the instigation of rival clubs acting from the basest of motives. The consequences for the PL and some other clubs could be dire. The IC has to be sure that it's findings leave no room for reasonable doubt at all. And that takes time, lots of time.

This is a good point. The PL have insisted on the 115 charges presumably to show that City and associates have been involved in serious, wide ranging criminal activity over a long period. It is the breath taking scale of this activity which opens City up to the demands for exemplary punishment, and so it would seem that the PL must "put its money where its mouth is" and show that these charges are not acts of complete mischief on the part of malicious rivals and a complete waste of the IC's time.

I would say so.

Absolutely, although it would be seasons / accounting periods not years.

There may only be half a dozen separable treatments over many years leading to the alleged breaches but they must be addressing each allegation for each year separately, surely.

It will be interesting to see how they handled the hearing and how they report it all.

Btw, I still think the PL have no chance of proving the most serious allegations no matter how long it takes to write it up. Mancini time limited. Not so positive on things like Touré and Fordham purely because I don't know enough about them but I am happy to take Khaldoon's word on them. Not so negative on non-cooperation for reasons I have explained many times.

The club will be fine whenever the award is released.

It would take about 11.5 seconds to type up:
Charge 1: charge not proven
Copy and paste to line 130.
And Robert's your mother's brother.

I am supposing that it is all done and the PL are waiting for an opportune time to release it to do the media cycle "taking out the trash" gambit. i.e.: bury the story in the summer on a Friday afternoon to let the outrage simmer down over the weekend.

The money both us and the pl are paying the legal teams you better believe they made absolutely certain that every single charge was heard down to its last detail and then heard again just to make sure, for gods sake these poor souls have houses in france to heat and private schools to pay for , wont somene think of the lawyers and their billable hours you selfish fuckers

I'm of the mind the longer it goes, the more the Premier League are leeching into next season and such a state of flux would then exist to effectively cause the entire competition to be in the balance for that campaign.

Every Premier League place is worth money and those relegated or deprived of prize monies would file injunctions on an announcement finding against City.

Supplement that to a punishment wait and inevitable appeal, I refuse to rationale how any guilty verdict is coming down the pike.

The earlier the verdict, the quicker those who wish to do City harm, would be able to square it all away and minimise the damage to next term.

City are winning this, every pertinent minutiae of it.

Where was northenden primary school?
Northenden primary was Bazeley Road, just off Lingard Road. I started there in 1952. Head teacher Miss D.N. Hampshire. Teachers of note: Mrs Freeman, Mrs Sykes, Mr. Haddock.
I believe it is now a community school.
My memory is available for hire.

Whatever happened to the Carters Arms, I used to go there but I thought it had gone last time I went past.

I take all your points buy don't understand how they support the conclusion reached.
