PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Also, back then, most Liverpool fans weren’t arrogant, entitled, brainwashed, oddball wankers… or it seemed that way
You are joking arent you they were feral scum then and are even worse now.
Been going since 76.Its the only place i have never let my daughter attend. She has been in the wrong end at Millwall when we were banned. We were sussed pretty early on never felt in any danger. Most of the aways in Div 2 we were in wrong ends and always felt quite safe.I aleayd relate a story about the ferals the game where slippy slipped my mates daughter who was 14 at the time was punched in the face so hard she had to have surgery. When my mates complained to the police who had witnessed the incident they were told thats what happens to Chelsea here they are and always have been scum.

Match report with the writer implying that Chelsea were far worse and Bob Paisley adamant that it might be fans from another club.

Well Friday again, always feels the day of the week both parties will get the paperwork to browse prior to a Monday public announcement.

They need to get a wriggle on with the result as they'll be closing down for summer holidays sometime next week. ;)

Boxing Day 1981. I was there too, in the folly of my long past youth I had a Dipper supporting boyfriend. I was with him, in the kop wearing my City scarf. Thank god he and his bro were there, because grown men were like feral animals when we scored and I cheered. They had no shame on rounding on a 23 year old young woman and it was only the brothers wearing Dipper scarfs that actually saved me from being physically attacked.

It was a fabulously unexpected win, I saw myself in the crowd on MOTD.

But what I learned that day is that your average Dipper fan is NOT a happy, knowledgeable football supporter who recognises good play. I saw the truth about them, and I have never been back to that rancid hellhole since thar day.

I get very annoyed about Hillsborough and Heysel after what I endured on a minor scale. A lot of hogwash or as Delooney says ' sports washing'.....
I know we've gone off at a tangent whilst waiting for an outcome but I remember being stood on the Spion Kop in 69, we were 2-1 up with minutes to go and to be fair the Liverpool fans around me stood and clapped City, they said they were well and truly beaten. In typical City fashion we managed to lose it 3-2. They couldn't believe it, I could.
Not forgetting in them days scousers we're 6' 6" stevedores built like brick shithouses. Everton fans were similar but generally with broken noses. There was rumour a City fan got stabbed that night. Was that you? If so, contact Shaw Taylor.

As a matter of sort of related interest as far as abuse is concerned, I wore a "Make America geat again" cap when I went shopping with the wife last week. The offensive remarks I got from non-Caucasians, took it with a smile. That's life in the crazy geopolitical world we find ourselves in.

I have been to just about every PL ground watching Chelsea and a fair few European grounds as well.We were subjected to having bottles of Amstel thrown at us in Madrid, Forced to sit like kids in Bordeaux and not allowed to visit the toilets but in terms of the vast majority of grounds we , my wife and me, rarely have any issues
We did have an incident at yours where we were hit by coins but in fairness that incident came about because a female Chelsea supporter yes female supporter , was almost inciting yours that were stood close by.
At Birmingham the supporters were crazy but we simply followed Police directions and our mini bus was escorted in .others didn’t and had their vehicles trashed
But it’s Anfield that is a place I went to once and would never go to again. We were close to the front and hit with a ballon full of urine we also witnessed some hit with a bag full of sh1T that splattered over a few.
Walking away from most grounds really isn’t that much of an issue . Most just want to get to the pub or get home but at Anfield it’s just didn’t feel safe yet across Stanley Park at Goodison you simply aren’t policed the same, the supporters seem different yet it’s the same City

Yeah it was a pretty dodgy place to visit back then

I was referring more to the unbearable ‘this means more’, ‘imagine being us’ breed of brainwashed cultist that has probably evolved with the rise of social media

One of them used to deliver stationery to a place I worked in the city centre back in the early 80’s.
He never shut the fuck up about Roger Hunt and what a fantastic bloke he was.
He insisted that Geoff Hurst’s 2nd goal against the Germans was definitely in because when it bounces down Roger Hunt can be clearly seen celebrating it so being an honest and decent scouse chap it was most certainly over the line.

He loved taking the piss out of the rags though, to be honest I didn’t really bother too much about hating anyone apart from the trafford tramps so found him amusing - growing up in Ordsall and pretty much it coming on top every day did seem to have a bearing on it!

I’ve always had a great time going to Anfield despite our piss poor showings on the pitch. I love a day out in the city of Liverpool. You can probably guess the only game that I’ve missed there since the early 90’s.

I should probably start this story with my mates and I are lovers not fighters.

The only trouble we’ve had was after the match on 2014, the prelude to Slippy G when they thought they were going to win the league.

We had a couple of pints after the match near the ground. Caught the bus back into town. Got chatting to some older old school Liverpool lads on the bus.

Some young uns were over hearing our conversation, were eyeing us up on the bus and planned to confront and jump us when we got off the bus near Lime Street.

When we got off the bus the shortest of the older lads who must have been 5ft 6 walked up to the biggest younger lads (both Liverpool fans) and with one really clean punch put him spark out on the deck. The young uns all backed off. We went to the pub and had a few more pints with the older Scouse lads.

No it wasn't me in 1969. I had just started at the local Grammar school, and waiting patiently for the Christmas to get my copy of the 1969 Manchester City Football book....!

It never felt safe in Stanley Park I have to say.

In contrast went to Goodison August 1970 ( 12), we won 1-0 ( The King scored and they were the reigning First Division Champions) and absolutely not one jot of trouble when I cheered as we scored.

Anyway apologies for going off topic.

The charges are just a cartel construct. Not that anyone would think that reading/ listening to the vitriolic outpourings of the press and broadcast media. * Mr Martin Samuel excepted.
