PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Hard to see how these guys have been isolated in a papal conclave for 9 months. It is highly likely that contact at least indirectly has taken place between the panel and interested parties. While no official definitive communication will have taken place it may well be that the powers that be have formed in their minds the likely contours of the result.
The PL may well have relayed this perspective to cartel members who then decided to loosen the purse strings. They may have reasonably decided that, if not abolition, significant changes to the PSR rules are in the pipeline.
And City are sufficiently naive to not have noticed any of this? What did our lawyers tell our club?

Don’t buy it myself…

I think the whole thing is so wrong and so subject to public opinion and legal challenges, it is struggling to be wrote up in full yet.

The whole thing may have created some opportunities for a deal etc. which PL might be hoping on. I think we’re happy to let it all burn as it’s hard to see how we come out of it anyway, let alone how a deal would play out.

I think our execs may be enjoying watching these rules get destroyed and shown up for what they are.

The idea that Liverpool/ United are spending because of it, is not true.

United always spend, nothing new and they have a new manager. The issue is Jim is full of $hit. So people believed his justification, he has done a good job of trimming the fat of the staff at United and so some money will have been available.

The bit about if they fail, they find a way is clearly true, so I’m not surprised.

Liverpool also spend and whilst not the same they clearly have funds and available on PSR, so I don’t think we can read much into it

For me the annoying bit is media, we have the perfect example with Newcastle and United, owners who want to invest/ take money out. A club that should be on the up, made a lot good decisions, whereas one on the way down that continues to make bad decisions.

PSR is clipping ones wing, whilst propping another one up, all in the name of ‘fairness’.

No-one really understands or see the PSR calculation for each club, such as like in La Liga and this also hides the unfairness.

Pretty certain Artificial Intelligence will have already done a lot of the heavy lifting for this one?

More a case of proof reading and editing now.

I did 60 school reports recently with a new AI tool and it certainly went a long way to cutting down the amount of time such tasks previously would take.

Utd won't get done like others get done. Worzel gummidge in charge was crying poverty a few months ago, they was going to run out of money, they won nothing last year and have made over 200 redundancies.
If you need answers email fatponce.com at the Premier League and he'll tell you nothing to see here.

The fact the two red plastic bellend clubs are spending more than others tells you that something has happened behind the scenes and these two have been given free reign.

My guess is we're completely innocent and these two yank owned clubs have been told to spend before it all changes or have be given the nod because we've unearthed the corruption that's been going on.

Just a thought.

Made me chuckle…nice one;)

I've been reflecting a bit on the time scale of this recently, bare in mind I have no expertise, but if there are 130 charges and each one takes the panel on average 3 or 4 working days to make a decision, we aren't going to hear anything at all this year even, for the full report it could well take until next summer, no need for conspiracy theories. I think we've all got a bit carried away (myself included) with the idea the verdict would be made public last spring, but really no one has any idea how long this would take (including some experts), there hasn't been any case even remotely like this one before.
Your 115th message on bluemoon……I’d have saved that for the verdict, mind that’d mean you couldn’t post again this century.

I knew no one would like it, I find the thought depressing myself, but I'm currently caught up in my own legal case (civil), it's simpler than City's case yet it has been dragging on for a lot longer. But as far City goes it's simple maths, 130 charges times 3 days each is over 18 months, and whilst it's right that some charges are wrapped up with each other and could be disposed of quicker than this, other charges might take a couple of weeks. What I'm saying is, the amount of time taken so far doesn't mean City haven't won (or have), or that there is a conspiracy to hold anything up, or even that there has been any delays at all.
As for the number of times I've posted, I'm having none of this 115 bollox it's 130 (roughly).

130 charges ? They're not 130 separate charges or are you on the wind up ?
