PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I genuinely never thought the 115 decision would see the light of day. A similar agreement will be reached. It probably has already and now the wording of said decision will be erm kind to the league and city’s position that no fraudulent activity took place. It’s good for the games clean image afterall.

No wonder it’s taken so long to word. The pitfalls from a misstep will be reverberating around the times, mail, sky etc.

They never wanted it to see light of day in the outset, think it was only requests by the Daily Mail that got it out into the public domain. Which makes how they announced the charges back in February 2023 even more bizarre with the vindictiveness of cobbling together over 130 of them when really it should be 5. This APT case could have got really ugly for the PL if they had kept going with it, by giving into what ever strategic aims City have they’ve managed to avoid further embarrassment.

We can't reach a settlement with the PL
now though can we? We will either win or lose.
Who knows…made up as it moves along.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a deal has been done and now we are both working on the published written agreement.

All this at war and take down the league or ruin football is soundbites to sell adverts and newspapers.

A commercial scuffle with a satisfied ending that enables both parties to move on is more likely than football Armageddon.

I will still enjoy the meltdown just as much as the red shit enjoyed the 115 overreaction.

Hence the City football variant of "The Wild Rover".
"I've played the wild rover for many a year,
And I've spent all my money on City and beer,
They play in the sky blue,
The best that I've seen,
That's why the whole world thinks Man City's supreme".
Thats a great chant, and should be revived by the current match going blues.

I used to sing it back in the 70s with the lads I knocked about with then.
Particularly on the journey to away matches, and then in the pubs near the away grounds.
Happy days as they say.

On the other hand, I have been to business lunches twice a year with lots of people and had a good time and enjoyed their company. Wouldn't call any of them good friends, though. Cunts, most of them.
It’s a pretty malleable term tbf. Different people have a different threshold for what constitutes a ‘friend’.

Am I the only one who doesn't care what media and the rivals think and say about us?
Like, I just don't find them significant enough anymore.
I got tired with it a long time ago.
In the main, football fans are thick tribal bastards and there is little conversation to be had if you get talking to someone on holiday or wherever, so i dont bother any more

Which is a shame.

Since the clickbaiters and "reaction video" people became part of the larger football media, it all just became white noise for me. Just do not care in the slightest. And the "oil money" comments are implicitly racially motivated which I dont think gets talked about enough.

Absolutely nothing to do with race. If a brown or black American owner rocked up then they'd be welcomed. It's far more xenophobic. They just don't like that they're from that part of the world and they're not America.
