PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If he did I don’t see how he or, more importantly, anyone at City would get 1-2 weeks advanced warning of the date they will receive the findings? I guess they will receive it when the panel send it. I think City and the PL might agree a date to release the findings but that’s different to the panel giving them some sort of vague delivery date! At best it’s someone at City guessing and passing that guess on to him.

On the flipside, why wouldn't the panel give the parties' legal representatives an update on the timeline? Particularly after over a year of waiting.

Whem Pep claimed a year or so ago that we were expecting the result next month, everyone took that as the parties knowing when the verdict would be released. Why would that be any different now.

Seems he's feeling left out and wants the attention.

Who the fuck knows at this point, the only sure thing over last few pages is that people who put mayo instead of tartar sauce on fish are proper wrong'uns.

I suppose the fact that Pep got that so wrong should tell us there are no advanced estimates.

I don’t see why the panel would give any guidelines on that, it just puts themselves under pressure and possibly creates even more conspiracy theories.

City and the PL had their chance to give the panel a timeline at the start of the process as I understand it and chose not to for some reason.

But since the parties didn't know your example provides no evidence that they will know in advance.
Since Pep's prediction was wrong is it not actually evidence that the parties won't know in advance?

As it's moved on although IF bad and I don't think it will be any punishment and the fallout would be a mare for all parties, close season now seems the way forward while we're all moaning about Trump & the WC.

Sure. I don't know whether they do or don't, but I don’t see why they wouldn't. Everyone was accepting if the fact they do a year ago, Pep being wrong wasn't evidence of that but it also doesn't suddenly fundamentally change it either.

Not everyone was accepting that. I and others questioned why Pep would suddenly share a date and it did seem this was a throwaway comment designed to prevent further questions. I was always pretty sure nothing would be released the following month and so it transpired.

Fair. I still see no reason why the Panel would withold giving the parties an update on a timeline, if requested. But I base that on pure general assumption.
