Last season’s home match against them apparently they’d been fighting amongst themselves. One middle-aged supporter was on the pavement unconscious with blood coming out of his ear, I thought he was a goner (no pun intended), looked really bad but thankfully found out he recovered in hospital.

We got the rowing boat across from Southwold. Lovely place, just needs more sand and less pebbles.

He’s right. It would be less sand and fewer pebbles as sand isn’t countable, but pebbles are.

You wouldn't, given her age a roll top job is rather descriptive.

Sand is just very small pebbles, of course it's countable.
