Masters normally speaks with Skysports on the eve of a new season so lets see what he has to say. Surly he has to give us an indication on when this is likely to be resolved.

Why would City allow them to cover it up, the innuendo would never stop.

I personally think its been done and the negotiations now will be how to make the PL somehow look good out of all this mess ..............the ground building, the spending of big money and the lack of noises from the PL indicates which way it has gone

I really like the fact that a random can email these guys about such a sensitive topic and they reply so quickly. Almost restored my faith in lawyers being human. Almost :)

Someone more lawyerly than me might well correct me, but from the previous explanations on here, it means when they come to decide on the points, they might well have forgotten the original arguments. This could lead to unsafe decisions being made.

Personally, I don't understand this point because the members of the panel could just refresh their memories by referring back to the original transcript or recordings.

Ha ha. It’s out of his control but he authorised the investigation, commissioned the panel, and has signed off on at least £75m in legal fees for an unwinnable case. He also ignored his own legal advice and broke the law with new APT rules.

Iirc, it's not simply a question of the time between the hearing and publication, but there would have to be some omissions in the reasoning. In a quickly published judgment that could be attributed to brevity. But the longer the wait, the more it can be argued that the omissions were caused by the effect of time on the evidence / discussions. Or something like that.

On the question of transcripts, I think the point was that, over time, the relevance of "dry" transcripts reduces when the actual personal interactions that took place can be forgotten.
