PL & CL Squads (updated: Toure omitted from CL squad)

It's a fucking tricky one. He could be an arse round the place if he's left out.

Delph is much worse but runs and HG. Navas much worse yet works his knackers off.
Both have struggled for me in Pep's system.

Will be interesting tomorrow.
Navas hasn't struggled at all and delph has become very good at pressing,he ultimately might not have enough talent but he is learning from a low base and a lot of injuries

I don't know how you think Navas has struggled this season.

Conversely, Yaya was terrible against Steaua.

In the CL last Week he was atrocious, possibly his worst game yet.
With Sane and Sterling seemingly favouring the right I see his game time limited.

I'm actually a Navas fan, but he doesn't look like he will be flexible enough for Pep's system.

I don't agree. For me Navas has looked poor to ok. Ok vs Stoke in parts & awful against Bucharest.
Delph has pressed well, but he has looked totally out of his depth with regards movement, possession & positioning. He was horrible on his introduction against Sunderland. Made some terrible runs against Bucharest.

I like Delph, but I see him at left back or in the Fernandinho role, not the number 8 role.
I like Navas, but he's very limited and rigid. Hardly the front 3/5 type player flexible enough to thrive in a Pep system.

@Tricky_Trev, I agree if it's Fernando of Yaya sadly now it's a simple decission.

For me it would be 1 of two options.
Bin YaYa off.
Use YaYa over Navas as Navas will not really be needed with Sterling, Sane, Nolito and probably Iheanacho all better or more suited than him in his own position.

Binning YaYa off is the safe move I agree.

It will. Even if we dropped Delph, it doesn't free up a spot for Yaya. We wouldn't randomly drop Navas, a winger, for Yaya. So the only decision is Fernando or Yaya. And Fernando wins hands down... just look at who's been involved in the Premier League squads and who hasn't! Yaya's done and should be kept as far apart from the squad as possible. His French-speaking mates Nasri and Mangala have gone now, so he'd just be a bad influence. He can train on his own. Keep the players with good vibes and togetherness well away from the bad egg.

Was he mates with Mangala? Nasri is obvious....I ask only because I actually like Mangala.

The right wing is interesting. I assumed that Sane and Navas would have the right and Sterling and Nolito the left. But Sterling has been amazing on the right...My guessing now is that Nolito is a pretty regular starter on the left and Sterling and Sane will rotate on the right with Sterling getting some starts on the left when Nolito is being rested. Navas will mainly be a sub with Nolito rarely makeing it past the 60 minute mark.

Just posted in can Yaya still do a job for us thread that the fotmob app has just sent a notification suggesting that it will be Yaya to miss out on CL squad.
