Yaya and quite rightly so, as Karen says, his style of play these days is not up to the demands of Pep, he would not bring anything to the CL table for me so he has to be left out.

Was Toure not already more a periphery player last season in the CL, certainly towards the final stages?
Sterling and Sane can do everything Navas can do and more.
No one can do what YaYa can often produce.
For me, he should be in over Navas. Navas is currently the more reliable player but I can't think of a role he could play, an attribute he can offer that others can't.
YaYa on the other hand can change a game in a moment. Even now.
Question is? Can we take the risk? Navas is risk free,
Toure may be a liability or have that one spark to win us any game.
I suspect Pep will take the safe/reliable option for the group stages.

Lost his place toward the end under Pellers. I suspect he was told along with Nasri, Bony etc that they were likely to miss out on CL football and to choose to take what football you get here or find a new club. F'do might have had teh same chat but given that he could do a CB job at a push I think he gets the nod.
No way should it be Fernando or Navas who both have very specialised jobs and both do this very well. We've won 5/5 under Pep. If not for Navas it'd be 3/5 thanks to his assists vs Sunderland and Steaua at home. He is an important player. Fernando is also vital as shown against Arsenal at home and both PSG games last season when he was solid apart from the mistake between him and Joe. Touré is amazing, but only sometimes. I'd rather have two players who are reliable and pretty good almost all of the time. Plus Touré is clearly planning to leave next season regardless and has very little time left at the top level, but with Navas' energy you get the idea he could go for three or four more years.

Bravo was rested by Barca maybe for a good reason possibly not suited to Europe. Willy for Europe and cups and Claudio for PL
Bravo came here because he didn't want to share duties at Barca anymore
