Plans for East/West Stands level 2

the east stand exec rarely if ever sells out, in fact i can count four games this season that it has. the west stand exec and directors seats again hardly ever sell out, alhtough the 130 empty seats minimum is due to the bright spark who designed the stadium not including enough space for the appropriate number of tables and chairs back of house to accommodate each person.

i woudl seriously like to know where this 'demand' for exec seating has come from all of a sudden. this all smacks of something theyd do at old trafford with scant if any regard for the common man fan. i think the whole idea stinks of money grabbing greed.

At the Emirates all the seats are padded!
True but then their entrie 2nd tier is Club/Premium seating, costs a fortune and has been like that since it opened.

The facilities on that level though are superb. I'm not rich enough to go there on a match day but I got a seat on that level (at normal price) for a Springsteen gig. I guess City would like to do something similar but I really don't think we have the demand from that type of supporter. Maybe that's what the club think we will have when we start winning things.

Right answer. Very un-Manchester City.

Football is a business. I see nothing wrong with them catering for bigger things for the future. Just think of all the businesses that will want tables, boxes etc for games if we are challenging for Top 4. Makes sense to accomodate them as that's where the income is coming from.

I agree though it's not fair giving the die hards who have sat there since CoMS opened, an ultimatum of put up or shut up and move.

The problem is I think the club are putting the cart before the horse, first off should be increasing capacity and giving displaced S/T holders who can't afford the new prices a better choice of seat, THEN introduce these new exec seats.

Like was said at last night's meeting, the Arsenal's and United's of this world have the prawn sandwich brigade because they have long periods of success behind them in order to build this 'corporate experience'. We don't have this, yet seem to be wanting to build it up without even thinking about whether they will attract enough silent people in suits.
