i don't understand why abrohimavich is asking for this, Chelsea have wages similar or even more than us, and there is no way they can sustain it with their 20000 seater stadium

He is assuming Chelsea will continue to qualify for the CL and therefore have a bigger income than teams like City, Spurs and Villa and therefore meaning they can spend more than City, Spurs and Villa.

Thats the problem though..the likes of city ,spurs and villa can spend big to get a team capable for champs league qualification...they just have then spend within their means for a season and qualify.that would then throw one or two established teams out..

The shit would then truly hit the fan.

notts county have a similar rule, but have found a way round it.the sol cambell transfer alone took all their allowance but the new owners simply donated money to the club.you cant stop someone giving money to a club, its income all the same!

City will find a way around this but as has already been mentioned, how can other clubs hope to force their way into the elite if they're going to be subject to constraints that those elite clubs didn't have when they got there in the 1st place?

They're hoping to stop City but they know that if they can't do that, at least this will guarantee that most of the elite get in the Chump's league most seasons as the clubs below will never be able to bridge the gap. It makes my blood boil. These people are quite disgusting when you really think about it.

These constraints are only for champs league qualification..

A club should spend what it wants to get a fantastic team..then go for qualification by then spending within their means for a season..

What´s the population of the U.A.E.? The Sheikh could just make it mandatory for all his CITIZENS to regail themselves with every piece of City merchandising available , every season - all paid for from generous welfare benefits! Jobs a good´ un

There is a way this works for us.

Carry on spending and get baned from the CL if we finish top 4.

Disasterous? Not for long. The big 4 cut spending to qualify for the CL but we don't. We win the PL year in year out. Everyone happy? Of course not the Big 4 are at a massive disadvantage domestically and complain again to UEFA. UEFA's threat hasn't worked the rules are changed. We calm our spending and in return and we are in the CL.

You can spend what you like in the Prem.

How will the CL sponsors like no PL Champion allowed to enter the CL ?

Short term problem if we ignore the threat and just carry on.

Platini: "There is one club who won't like this but they don't matter as everybody else wants it. They can spend £300 million a year if they want but they can't play in Europe"

That's what he said.

What does he do if we just say "OK" and carry on? The measure is meant to control us and bring us into line. If we ignore it and go to the front of the line anyway he's lost (in the long run)

Can you attract players good enough to win the PL without being in CL?
