2nd place is secured now. If we don't play the youth this game then they are never going to get a game for us.
Give a couple a place on the bench, but lets finish as close to Chelsea and as far ahead of the rest as we can now.

Our best young players are out on loan, so they can't play, the majority of the EDS are 3 years their age group, and are not yet ready.

I wouldn't be that melodramatic. The kids - especially those that bridge the U18s and U21s - have had a very long season and a fair few have looked very tired recently. Their time will come.

That said, I really believe that we should be putting a couple of kids on the bench. Iheanacho's looked great recently and is still fresh having missed much of the season through injury. Would have had Barker starting a month ago but he in particular looks knackered.

The other thing is Hart is still within reach of that Golden Glove. Personally I would love for him for to get it.

No risks IMO.. Focus on getting the youth in pre-season or next season.

OK so you (deluded) dreamers get your wish and we play the kids, what if we then lose say 2-0 (Saints are a good side) how you gonna feel then?
Get your own way and it proves absolutely nothing. I remember in the dark days for the odd minute believing that Paul Moulden was the answer - he was not, albeit the archetypical local hero he was nowhere near good enough. All this local boys for local teams bollocks has been outgrown by us now - when did we last produce our own player worthy of a place in the current team? It just doesn't happen anymore. The last fluke of this nature was by our neighbours - never to be repeated so stop beating yourselves up by it.
Anyway good luck you deluded tossers I don't believe MP will do this, and good on him for it, The last example of this stupid end of term demob frenzy came from the charmless Chavs and they ended up at the Hawthorns demeaning themselves despite Maureen's (self conscious, with a sense of guilt) chest beating to their fans at the end and his pathetic signal to them of we're no 1 - embarrassing git he is and well suited to that club. Let's not fall into an obvious trap, play to win and go out on a high. Let the youngsters scrap for a place on the team earned by their own merit not gifted to them as some sort of end of season empty gesture - if they were good enough they would have played by now

Disagree with most of you guys, sunday is a very obvious opportunity to give on of the young guys debut, we can't achieve anything in the u21 Premier League anyway. I personally hope Iheanacho will get his debut, but I can't say I'll be surprised if none of them aren't even on the bench, don't have faith in Pellegrini when it comes to youth tbh.

Be happy for a few to make the bench now. Only reason not to is a few of the outgoing players deserve a farewell appearance.

Go back to 1989 for a game that really mattered and where we hammered the scum 5-1, and we did it a team where five of the starting eleven and another from the bench were relatively new from the youth set-up, and not one of them was Paul Moulden!

If anybody is going to get a game it will be Iheanacho in my opinion, the rest will have to wait until either of the pre or post season tours.

I would like us to give Angelino a try at left back.
