It's a really difficult one this year. Mahrez has been amazing in recent months in particular and we all know these votes tend to be skewed towards recent form. Gundogan had that incredible period over Christmas and New Year and has been solid all season. Stones has been amazing all season, with a slight wobble in recent weeks. But for me, Dias is the one who's been incredible from the first game to the last, and one of the main reasons for the improvement in form of players around him like Stones, Walker and Zinchenko. So for me, it has to go to him.

It's got to be Dias, although saying that I can understand why people vote for Ilkay or Phil as it's harder to remember individual moments from a defender than it is from a midfielder or forward. That said however I just don't see how we have the season we've had without the fundamental improvements in our defence, that by logical thinking, must be down to the arrival of Dias.

My opinions based on the whole season.

1. Dias - transformed us as a defensive unit and given the leadership Stones and Laporte need to form the central defensive partnership that has seen us stop leaking shitty counter-attack goals. 87/100
2, Gundogan - Mr Whippy has been our go to guy even when KDB has been out injured and was instrumental in stepping up with goals to keep that title winning run going when we looked like we might falter with a hefty programme and a few key injuries. 78/100
3. KDB - The ginger destroyers light has flickered on and off this year but still been key in several moments and our inspiration when we're struggling to unlock some tight low block opponents. Made a slow start to the season and took a while to get going again after another injury layoff. 72/100
4. Mahrez - The Algerian Princes' first half of the season were typical of his time with us showing moderate to good to outstanding moments. During the business end of the season he has got better and better and has a hand in lots of goals and great moments - Im hoping he's saved a few more before its all done. 69/100
5, Johnny Boulders - The introduction of Dias and a maturing of his mind and body has seen Stones become the player we all thought he was and has been a secondary rock beside his central defensive partner. Been a solid consistent level performer all year. 66/100

Foden - had streaked into contention with a late run of fantastic performances and we are watching him grow and become better before our very eyes this season. His promise is one that will make him very special for years to come in sky blue. I firmly believe he will add the consistency of performance levels to his games that was missing in the early part of the season and he still snatches at shots or rushes certain opportunities that prevents him making the most of them that will take him to a level most will never achieve. Next year will be his year. 64/100

It's quite the thing to have so many contenders.

I went for Father Ruben. What a first season, what a difference he's made.

This is a tough choice.

If I look at consistency throughout the season, then there are 3 clear standouts. Ruben, Gundo and Big John. It's really had to separate those 3. But being forced to choose, I would say Ruben, then Gundo and then Big John.

Honourable mentions of course to Phil, Kev, Riyad. I also think Bernie, Zin and Cancelo rate a positive mention.

Kyle Walker was the top performer in the early part of the season. Other players have had better a 2nd half but Walker apart from the odd brain fart has been the man

Impossible choice. Does my nut just thinking about it, there's a decent shout for probably more than half the team!
